The 2.7L Single Cab Thread

I don't like high weight, so I put my RTT on some crossbars atop the bed. I'm tall enough to see over the tent when merging.
The low placement means my ladder is pretty flat, but the new ladders collapse, so height is irrelevant to them.

 

I really like that your set-up has a lower center of gravity.

 

I tend to be a 'spirited' driver in all things - so low CoG was a big consideration on a jacked up truck, even w/ a 2.7L.
I did try the tent up atop a cap, but it felt ready to roll to me. LOL.

I got quite a few things on my list, oilpan gaskets, timing chain and all that, I'm thinking once its under the knife I'll install a urd sc with the 5th injector for some extra fun

I went 4.88’s on 35’s back when tbat was the only option. If I would do it again then 5.29’s for sure since they’re an option now

 

Stopped in moab on the way to Colorado. Did fins n things in the morning before leaving.

 

Wish my truck had 100,000 less miles. Looks great, enjoy that truck!

 

Already posted this elsewhere, but I just did the A Pillar phone Mount mod, using the Ram Mount. It’s surprisingly strong, and should have no trouble at all holding my phone on even the bumpiest terrain.

 

My front end isn’t cool enough to follow yours. Haha.

This is so true. I’m trying to add a Gen 1 Tundra regular cab V8 4x4 to my collection, too. Keep the Tacoma for happy-happy fun trips, and use the Tundra as my work truck. Slim pickens, I gotta say, but I’ll find one.

Its basalt gray raptor liner, I'll get a side view asap, lol I ran out of paint, so I only have what you see and the driver door done, but i did all the door jams and the little places that really make it count
