Lol, quit buying so many new vehicles and you could get one. I doubt I’ll get rid of this truck for a long time now that we are stable. I just have to talk my wife into letting me also have an 80 series which shouldn’t be too hard.

I’ve had my dually almost a year now and the Runner is mine for life. I have the practical vehicles for my lifestyle but now I want a project again. Something I can pass down to my kid.

Had my single cab for 7 years before I flipped it and with single cans and standards getting cut, I want to get another one while I can and just use it for a side project and putt around town in.

glad you got yours all fixed up and running and happy. You were having hell with it for a bit there lol

The river is running low and I had to back off the end of the ramp to launch the boat. But it was too windy to do any serious fishing. My truck would have been completely underwater where it sits in this picture at the beginning of the season.

beautiful truck as always. Still feeling bitter about the bypasses :pout: but can't wait to see you slap on the LT front end. I'll be waiting for a video of you hitting some bumps on a trail with the LT kit. Are you planning on running bypasses with the LT? I think the secondary shock hoops you have now should work as long as you had the stock length race arms.

I’m sure you’ll get one eventually. I have a ton of vehicles I want for a project but I have to remember that this one is now a project truck too. I think BabyT still has plenty of tricks up her sleeves to drive me crazy. This winter will be a good one for the truck. I am hoping to finally get it down to Moab next year (I have said this every year).

I'm all for a RC roundup in Moab. That would be sick. Don't keep it a secret if you do end up going!

I'm new here, but here's my 2012 single cab! Mostly stock aside from the lights and a stereo. Bought it back in June full old guy spec with barely a scratch in the bed, and it now gets used as my work/adventure truck all around northern Maine.

I have been on here a while but never posted. This is my 2001 2.7L, 5 speed manual, with 98,396 miles that I bought new. The wheels were transferred from my 1989 Toyota 4x4 (I bought new and sold with a bunch of miles on it) that I sold when I bought this one. It runs great and I have had zero issues with it. I am thinking of getting a 2016 4runner with 19,000 miles on it. I don't want to get rid of it, but 4 vehicles takes up all the parking in front of our house. We have a 2015 XLE AWD Sienna and a 2015 XLE AWD RAV4. My son says we should sell moms RAV4 :)thumbnail_20191016_123736.jpg

I think it looks much better with a color matched front bumper and grille surround.
I also want to do a color matched rear bumper.

Found this gem a few weeks ago, old man owned. Added the 4runner trail wheels today and look forward to what's to come. Love all the trucks on here!

For those of you running 35s, what set of gears did you go with?

Have a 2.7 3rd gen AC 5spd, but with how heavy they are, I’m thinking 5.29 is the only way it’ll be fully functional.

I'll be leaving the mirrors black along with the door handles. I will be installing power mirrors when I'm done messing with the suspension.

    For 35s, I would definitely go 5.29s. I have 285s on 4.88s and I can't see 4.88s being enough for 35s.
I am, however, running with an automatic transmission. For me, too much gear is better than not enough gear.

Nope, 3.92 for 2017 5spd + all the added weight of a 3rd gen. She’s a turd, but not as bad as everyone made it sound while on road. Off-road it’s a joke in 4hi, would have to roast my clutch like mad to get anywhere noteworthy. Pavement princess and light fireroads until I regear.

We share a similar viewpoint, rather have extra gear than not enough and smoke the tranny, clutch, etc. Besides, these 2.7 motors are built to rev a bit, I’m totally cool with 74mph at 3k rpm. I run her in 4th at that speed right now with 285s and stock gearing - she’s happy on freeway while everyone else is pissed I’m not going 80+ aha.

Do you think 4.88s would be right for 265/75-16s with an auto?
    Thanks!

Mine did fine with the factory 4.10s and 265s.
