The 2.7L Single Cab Thread

It is nice to camp with, but I like the look of the same height ones better. This is my setup at work last month

 

Nice setup. I would love to be able to set up right on my bed platform. I am folded in half with my cab high.

 

Hello everyone. Here's my not so pretty Tacoma.

2007 2wd base. It's all stock just a good commuter.

320k miles. It was backed into slowly by a flatbed straight truck in the front that bent the passenger fender pulling the headlight down. 150 bucks later it had a new fender and headlight assemblies. (headlights were foggy and wanted clear ones. All I had to do was pull a little bit by hand on some of the mounting brackets for the front of the fender mounting. Wasn't tricky and if I didn't see the truck get backed into as slowly as it was, I'd have never bought it from the previous owner. I could paint the fender but for as cheap as I paid for the truck and to fix it, it doesn't seem valid enough hahah.

 

Buy once cry once. Get the adjusters so you wont regret not having them. My brother has fox 2.5's with the DSC adjusters and it's great to have

 

Maybe in the spring time when it's a good weather for it.

 

I have an ugly high rise leer topper that's aluminum. It's ugly but makes for camping very well when I have it on.

 

Hi there! New around here. Just wanted to say hello and introduce my Tacomita!!

 

Such a rewarding little install. Ditched the H1 halogen bulbs, and upgraded to morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 LED's designed for projector housings. The difference is insane. (Also I'm a huge fan of wiring as clean as possible, this is not an example of that.)

 

We need to get you together with someone with the ultimate h4 upgrade and see how they compare.

 

These are just some h1's in crappy projector housings used in these tacomabeast headlights. Figured I'd make the best of it, so far I'm very pleased

 

The cutoff looks pretty good considering they are leds.

 

While driving these are waaaaay brighter than the halogens. The cut off is as good as I can get it. I have front glass so it messes up the headlights lineup and I'm too lazy to try mess with the glass anymore

 

Did some off-pavement driving and camping

 

Well I've had my hands full the weekend with a few projects, hard wired the blinkers in added a lil 5 Amp fuse, added some caliraised LED reverse lights, added some boat holders for my 0c1 canoe had to make 1" spacers to get the boat to clear and started to design a power distribution panel/relay panel to get wires off my battery.

 

Just to update, I swapped my suspension as noted in post #1048 here. Looking for completely stock center-hub to fender measurements so I can check my numbers against it. Anybody have those?

 

I'm so excited to see how it looks. I've been wanting to do a plus 3.5 camburg kit with fox dsc's

 

Out of curiosity, did a Carfax for my '97 (avatar pic):

1997 Reg Cab 2.7 5MT 4WD, bought new in AZ for $15.6, only option was a "Cold Weather Package" which was heavy-duty windshield wiper motor and the ridged windshield trim that shunted water over the roof instead of to the side windows. No AC, no radio.

Sold it in CO back in 2012 for $6800, 104k miles. 2nd owner sold it 2013 118k miles. 3rd owner shows it registered in Steamboat Springs 2013. Carfax shows 140k miles on 10/11/2019, still in CO.

I was surprised there wasn't much action when I sold it in 2012 with that nice Leer 122 shell on it. No factory AC and white shell I guess was a show stopper.
