New shoes for the old gal. Stock sized 245/75R16 BFG K02. No lift, completely stock. Far cry from my previous 09 regular cab. Old one had armor, 4.88 gears/ARB lockers, icon front setup, old man emu on rear with Bilstein 7100 remote reservoir shocks. I was running BFG KM2 255/85r16.

Both SR5's, nice! I don't see to many of them.
Man, your truck looks awesome! I wish I could do something like that, but it would be crusty from the winters in no time! And my lack of money!

Yes, I got the letter a week or 2 ago. I still wonder if they really have regular cab frames available or if they would have them made when necessary.

I think the frames would be made to order.
When my frame was replaced a couple years ago, it wasn't like the other frames that came in. The other truck frames had some sealant in the void where the two peices of metal make the c-channel at the back half of the frame, but my regular cab frame did not have that sealant.
But it still had the plastic shield covering the hole going into the boxed section of the frame, and the reinforced motor mounts.

Here's my original Tacoma on left. I loved that truck - only had 37,000 miles on it. Unfortunately I was recently involved in an accident and was forced to buy a new one. Luckily, I was able to find one very similar (just a few more miles on it). Bought it a couple weeks ago.

I was looking at a double cab, but the regular cab with the long bed is the perfect truck for me. Mine is very basic, but I'm looking forward to doing some mods on it, soon.

    Thanks, Don.

I was looking at a silver regular cab Tacoma, but I really wanted another Magnetic Grey because:

#1) I was able to retrieve my ARE topper, after I wrecked my first Tacoma. I wouldn't have to repaint it to match a grey truck.
#2) I decided it's my favorite Tacoma color!

A couple new little mods. The battery holder is from CBI, found it on tacomabeast. Idk If any of you like to get airborne with stock trackwidth trucks but I found that the OEM tie down started to kill itself. I made some new little threaded L shape dowels to replace the dinky factory ones. This is much more solid and peace of mind. Also did some tail lights and caliraissd reverse pods cause the reverse light is absolutely useless on this set up lol

Put some new to me tires and wheels on the old girl today. 2006 Tundra wheels with KO2 245/75/16. The old wheels were 32 years old and the tires had been on it for the past 10 years.

can anyone point me in the direction what I'd need to do to install OEM fender flares on a none-flared 2wd reg cab 4cyl base model?

    Thanks in advance

Hey folks, quick question. I have a 2011 and I am looking at a used engine from a 2017. In 2015, Toyota “updated” the 2trfe with dual vvti.

I found a post from a guy that put a 2015 engine in an 2008 and he said it was plug and play. I always assumed I had to find an engine from 2005-2014 to avoid headaches.

Does anyone else know if I can put in a 2017 2trfe into a 2011 tacoma without running into ECU issues?
