My truck is down with a mangled clutch, but I the meantime while waiting on parts I got a magnaflow high flow cat and a mbrp exhaust cat back side exit exhaust. It blew my mind how much better it sounds with just the new cat. Unfortunately if you dont have a 2.5" for the 2.7 the flange that mounts to the cat will not work. I had to reuse the one from my old gibson (do not recommend the Gibson, didnt fit right and was nothing but leaks). To finish it off I plan on getting LCE headers. However this will probably be my last post for quite some time. I head to boot camp for the navy on the 24th

Hey guys I've got a request from those of you that currently have sliders. I'm currently working on a design at the moment but I want to make sure I've got my measurements correct.

    2"x2" 11ga square tube
    1 3/4" 11ga round tube

    - What is the length? I think my design is a little too long.
    - What is the gap between the main slider and the pinch weld? I want to make sure there is enough wiggle room for deflection.
    - Any pictures would be awesome especially where they are mounted, I plan on welding mine.

My truck had the TrailGear sliders already welded on when I bought it. I think they are 58" long. The passenger side was welded too close to the pinch weld (looks like 3/16" or less) and it hits the pinch weld on bumps and potholes. I would shoot for 3/8 to 1/2" at least to avoid the contact. Mine don't have the kickout though.

awesome I appreciate that, I was planning for about 5/8” of a gap hoping that would be enough.

Got a picture of “my” regular cab truck. My daughter has it at college and N. GA received a little snow.

The drawing is very conceptual right now I need to go back and rework a lot of things. I just wanted a bit of feed back first so I know what I need to correct. With that said I just threw in mounts evenly spaced I understand where that rear mount is there isn’t an actual place for it haha.

@Taco505 Here are a couple I snapped of my @SOS CONCEPTS bolt ons. Let me know if you want any other angles.

Thanks, these are helpful to see what the bolt-on looks like I've thought about the SOS sliders.

I had originally measured about 71" - 72' inches and figured it would be waaaaay too long and too much to deal with the drop of the fenders, I think 60" might be my number after measuring again and seeing a few other sets. I think I'll copy your idea with the tube supporting a portion with the overhang. I do want to go with a 15° angle though so thats going to make the additional support a little difficult so I may just end up with 90°. From the chassis to the outside of the slider how many inches did you go? I measured about 14.5" to be about flush with the fenders and figured there or a bit in would suffice, the measurements in the 2D image below are at 90°. Anyway, I changed the design a bit and updated with some measurements if you're curious, thanks for your help.

Agreed I think a bit of angle will be the best option and I'll post progress for sure but I have to say that I am notoriously slow on projects haha. The last thing I need to do is see what dies my buddy has before I finalize the design and purchase the steel, either way I'll keep you all posted and thanks again.

Installed this gem today. LC engineering heavy flywheel. transmission is back in just finishing the final torque and once over. Pretty excited to get back in my own truck for my last 11 days before boot camp.

I believe it will. My last flywheel was full of cracks I blame clutch kicks and big tires, I'm trying to get it ready for 37's so figured I'd spend the extra doe and get the upgrade

Now that it's in I just did a test drive, feels absolutely amazing. torque is down low and easily spun my 33's. Shifts like a beast. And grabs instantly from a stop

If I could do it again, get either the southbend clutch kit or the LCE kit. Cant go wrong with either. I installed an oem aisn clutch onto the heavy flywheel

I think your only option is through @SOS CONCEPTS. Otherwise you'll have to fab them up yourself/ have someone fab them for you.

Edit: I have them on my truck and they are awesome. Eddy does some great work. I think the 20% tax sale is still ongoing.

I'd be interested to see some specs, I'd probably have to email them direct as my engine is not at all stock anymore
