I did it in mine in stages. Ordered a bunch of noico 80 mil from Amazon. Did the doors when I installed new speakers, and then the floor and back wall when I took out the bench and put in buckets.
The doors made the most difference. I love the whump sound they make when I close them now too. It is 100% worth it. Someday I might drop the headliner and do the ceiling as well

I took out the moisture barrier (plastic sheeting) on the doors and doubled up the coverage over all the holes to give it a little more coverage.

Ujoints in my driveshaft took a crap on me one day, and what should’ve been a quick 1 day fix ended up taking 4 weeks because apparently this driveshaft was soooooo custom that nobody on my island had the same size ujoints so I had to resort driving around for a month in 4hi with my front shaft and horrible gas mileage. But on the bright side, I’ve been given the all clear from the other half to either get rid of these ugly wheels from the previous owner and buy some new ones, or do a header/exhaust upgrade.......or actually do what’s most needed for her and get some bucket seats in this thing

Im not sure when the last time i posted on here was, but if i had to guess id say i probably just reincarnated myself after 4 year hiatus. And i figured id do it by bumping a post from last year. Anyways, this is the only picture i can find for now of the install i did. I built a box n dropped a 10" L7 in it and wired a 3000d up to it at 2 ohms. Truck has an xs power d3400 under the hood.

Yeah agreed! This trip got backcountry camping spots from east to west, drove all of old mine, river, glen springs, and black gap road. Tons of miles but it was a ton of fun seeing parts I hadn't before.

I've never gotten to go driving around out there, but back when there was a reasonable amount of water in the river, paddling Boquillas Canyon was amazing. Hiking the south rim is awesome too. Lots of fond memories.

How long did all that take?

Oh man, paddling the river sounds so amazing. Thinking of doing it some day

Was there five days. Old ore road is ~28 miles long, river road ~52, and glen springs, black gap are each 10 miles ish.

Go with bronze rims. They look really nice on pyrite mica.

Okay had the back loaded up with 880 lbs for a dump-run + full tank of gas. It squats for sure, maybe can see why people with a lot of weight all the time wouldn't really want these deavers but for the 8 mile round trip it was solid. Rode heavenly as well. Leaves were not in negative arch in this picture.
