The 6112 will settle in at 2-2 1/2” third clip. I have Alcan springs in rear. When I was shopping I was worried about the Dakar’s being too stiff. Check out the 6112 thread. Im sure somebody is running your mentioned set up with a single cab.

Well I'm freaking bored. I got my new tires last week, but still waiting on the spacers. For some reason USPS has been sitting on them in one of their distribution facilities in CA since last Wednesday. Frustrating. But here's a teaser of the MEAT

So a while back I was sharing some designs for a set of sliders but that ended up fall through. I was having a hard time finding the right bending dies without buying them and the local steel shops are closed to the public at the moment soooo I ended up “stimulating” the economy and had a local fab shop get these done. The guy did an awesome job.

Random dumb blonde moment for the day. I recently joined TW, and kept seeing IIRC. Well....I never paid much attention to the abbreviation, nor have I seen it much in my day to day routine. Maybe i'm just getting old. After a few days, I thought "oh, maybe it's secret lingo for Gen2 Regular Cab" I was like sweet, we have our own little secret club. Like the Jeep wave or the motorcycle salute. Then I actually took the 3 seconds to google it.....

I’m not hip on all of the new abbreviations, either. And as for our secret moniker, I’m fairly certain if you just say, “The best Tacoma”, everyone will know what you drive. Haha.

Do you have rear suspension upgrades to handle extra weight? Engine handle it alright? What about thru the hills?

    Looks great!

Haha ya ALWAYS projects I actually just completed one today (see pic below), but speaking of the sliders it would have been nice to do them myself but with the way things are I’m happy to give some money to a local shop.

Hey thanks! So in that picture I had half the OME medium duty lift kit. The medium duty dekars & the nitro charger shocks it gave me about 2.5” over the stock 3rd gen OR suspension I was running. So far it’s been awesome it holds the weight of the FlipPac/gear well. I haven’t gone camping this year but I don’t for-see any issues. Off road and through the hills on pavement again no issues and would 100% do it again, but let’s see what I say after I’ve gone 20k so I’ll have to report back.

In other news I bought a set of the OME 886s and the 90021 struts. I was planning on holding on to them until I get a bumper/winch but I found a great deal on the 884s so I had a local shop swap the coils (kind of a weird set up but I’m goin with it). I just finished installing today and I still need an alignment but after a drive around the block feels solid and got about 1 1/4” - 1 1/2” of lift on the front. Again we shall see how it holds up over time but I think the truck looks great.

Before - Stock 3rd gen OR suspension.
    C856163C-41D5-4A68-B6DF-FBF2FF576DEB.jpg

    After - OME suspension
    Front - 884s/90021
Rear - MD Dekar leaf pack with nitro charger shocks.

My '95 4x4 2.7l 5-speed. Loved that truck until I sold it a month or two ago. Seriously regretting that I let it go.

    Hey everyone!

I’m new here; just wondering what seat covers (if any) you guys are running on your bench seats. Additionally, how do you utilize the space behind the seats? I feel like there’s quite a bit of potential back there but I’m curious to see what’s been working for other people.

    Thanks!

I think wet okole are the only ones that make a proper fitted one for the bench seat.
I don't have much behind my seats as I'm 6'2" so the driver's seat is pushed almost all the way back. But, I have a tool bag behind the drivers seat. Behind the passenger I have a first aid kit, blanket, binoculars, and a bin with pens, paper, snacks, etc.

I’ve got Wet Okoles. I don’t have any pictures of them on my bench seat, but there ought to be plenty of images of the same set-up on TW. I’ve had them on for a little over a year, and they haven’t stretched (not that neoprene would stretch much anyway), nor have they moved side to side from constant sliding in and out of my truck. Well worth the few hundred they cost, for sure.

I don’t have anything behind my seat apart from the dinky jack set that came with the truck. Not much room back there anyway, and I just keep things I need (or may need) in my toolbox.

Awesome! Thanks for all the tips from everyone! I’m only 5’10” and pretty used to sitting fairly far forward anyway so there’s quite a bit of space behind my seat; didn’t know that the mounting points were the same as the DC, I’ll definitely look more into that.

    Much appreciated, guys

I got tired of trying to find those nice DC back wall organizers for less than retail price. I ended up just making due with what I have. I've got pretty much everything behind my seat except for my tools which go in the bed when I go out of town.

I found one on EBay for $100 but shipping is another $60. That’s a good looking setup that you’ve got there; looks like you’ve put something on that back wall? Sound-deadening?

Yeah, sound deadening and foam. I'm going to eventually get some black carpet back there too to give it a more "finished" look.

I have Coverking bench seat cover. Ordered it through costco. It's a wetsuit material that fits perfect. I highly recommend it

Precision Fit makes a decent cover for the bench. Mine is holding up well after four years.

Hi everyone, I have purchased the OME suspension and SPC UCA. Installing next weekend, any advice will be appreciated.
