Before I picked up my Dekar park I had the 4 leaf pack off a 16 OR and it didn't really add a whole lot of lift, probably because of my FlipPac, but it seemed to firm up the ride quite a bit and didn't feel ass saggy.

That’s the goal! And probably add a leaf or block when time and money allow

Haha wow I had some fat fingers in that last post, anyway I think you'll be happy with the upgrade for the time being.

Somewhere I heard the 4 leafs added just under an inch of lift without doing anything else.....not sure where. Coulda been what multiple people posted or personal experience.....not sure which. Mighta been last week or several years ago......not sure when.

I’ve had the 3 leaf and the 4 leaf. Added a bit of lift but with a shell and camping gear it sags. I bought a 2nd hand 3 leaf aal and am going to experiment with it once I install my 2020 TRD sport CO’s and rear shocks - I’d like to be a little high in the rear and level when loaded.

I didn’t immediately notice any height increase but I’ll measure when I get home.in the work parking lot it seems to have gone up a hair in height. Either way I’m just happy it’ll be a better base for when I do an add a leaf or block (I didn’t want to lift the rusty weak 3 leaf pack)

Also, I forgot to update. I did finish the install today haha

After eyeballing it I think I gained at least a half inch of not an inch!

The suspension on my 2012 RC 4x4 feels pretty worn out. Looking for a replacement on the cheap. Would this be a decent replacement? The details say it’s missing strut mounts some bushings. Any idea what kind of cost I’m looking at to purchase those?

    Thanks!

You should be able to get all the rubber replaced for under 50 bucks. You can usually buy the parts on eBay or wheelers. You'll get a small 1-inch lift or so in the front. 40k seems a bit steep. If your hardware is worn out. I'd go full 5100s and never look back. Costs a bit more but your not gonna be looking for shocks in the next year or two.

Measured ROUGHLY in the dark driveway 23” center of hub to flare driver side and 22.5” passenger on an empty tank. Should sit at 22.5 both sides maybe when I fill up? Thinking 1.5 rear lift and bilsteins at 1.75 is gonna be what I end up doing. I want to retain some rake. This should do the trick right?

I’m torn on how to lift the front without too jarring of a ride. I like cushiony soft ride but want more height without spending a ton of cash ( I know I know ) but really leaning towards 1.5 block for ease of install and stock spring rate and bilsteins at 1.75 and hoping for the best...

I'm pretty sure you will lose your soft ride when you lift the front. My truck is pretty stiff with the 885 springs but I hear the 883 and 884 ride better but mainly because they have less lift.

Putting 5100s on the 3rd spring will stiffen the ride a bit but it's not like it drives like a rock. You'll gain maybe 2.5 inches of lift on that 3rd notch with stick springs. I put my truck that way and it doesn't seem any different than any other truck. To do it right you could always do that and put progressive AAL to give you a good amount of lift. Depends on what you are willing to spend though.

Going 5100s on the 3rd notch isn't too bad. It felt better for me when I did it but my shocks where done when I did it. Going maybe 1st notch to level it out and a AAL may be the way to go to do it right without spending too much.

Mine is 5100 at 3rd notch (0, .85, 1.75) with 1/2" top plate spacer on each with stock sr5 springs. Ride is just right. Probably close to 2" lift. Rear is just oem 4 leafs and 5100s. Much better than 3 leaf, no more wheel hop, about 1" higher than before. Overall ride is nice, way less body roll and rear is 1.25" higher than the front.

My old 05 AC was set at 4th notch 2.5" on oem springs and it was harsh compared to the RC on 3rd notch. It had 1.5 AAL with 3 leafs and was still tail high about an inch.......and fit 18" 285s with minor plastic trimming ....................

    bch_truk_09.jpg

Would think most aftermarket springs up front will make RC stiff ride without plate bumper and or winch to compensate. Out back with 4 leaf and 1.5" aal should be good for shell and a bit more weight full time on RC. If not go multiple leaf AAL if more full time weight is required. Still ride ok and have longer lasting carrying capacity longevity.

On a side note.......devious plan in the works for new 040 painted skewpt hood.........white or black insert? Leaning toward black.

    Stay tuned.............................
