A little of this and a little of that.
I bought a used ARE cap/topper/shell and had it painted to match my 2013 regular cab truck.

Twins!... Except gray! Haha. The 3rd gen trd or wheels are so nice on these trucks. Picked up a set of 5 for $200 bucks. I really dig those steps/rock slider type deals you have, where did you get them?

Your truck looks great Anthony. Nice deal on those 3rd Gen wheels.
The step bars are N-Fab. Here’s a link, but unfortunately it shows out of stock.

Dang, finding some premade rock sliders isn't easy for these regular cabs. Might almost be worth designing my own or something. Thanks for the link!

My sliders are from Addicted Off-road, and fit great (as weld on sliders). They weren’t specifically for a regular cab, but size wise they are perfect. Off the top of my head I think they are meant for an older 4Runner. Might be able to find something like that to weld on, since the feet are different.

SOS Offroad builds regular cab sliders, either bolt on or weld on, with or without kickouts. I have the bolt on without kickouts, and they are beefy! Though I wish I got the kickouts, I do prefer the smoother look without them.

If I were you I'd check out some local fab shops. You could save some serious cash on shipping that way. I had mine made and done exactly the way I wanted them.

Hey Reg Cab owners, I'm another big fan of the two door Tacomas hence why I own one. I came here to ask a question. For context, my truck is a 2013 4x4 4 speed auto, and I wish I could find a 5 speed local that wasn't super high miles and/or a salvage title now or 2 years ago when I first bought it. The truck drives fine but I find it a bit lacking without a wiggle stick. I want to build up the truck over time, starting with a lift and stepping up to 285s. My question is, has anyone ever wheeled with the 4 speed? Not sure if it would be worth dealing with the quirks, so any input is appreciated.

I think one of the best mods for the automatic trucks is the throttle booster. I had one of the Eittar 9 drive throttle boosters on my 2013 reg cab and you can adjust the response to where you really like and it makes it drive a lot better.

I have a 2014 auto that I wheel with. I installed 4:88 gearing and e lockers front and rear.
    It’s awesome to wheel with.
If you are going up to 285s, make sure you install 5:29 gears.
    I have 265/75-r16s.

No, it plugs in between your gas pedal and the stock wiring harness to intercept the signal and enhance it. It probably doesn't help the manual transmission trucks as much as the automatics. It doesn't add any power, but it makes the engine respond quicker and it will help it hold in gear longer which makes it more drivable. They range from around $50 to 300 depending on what brand you want.

Hmmm… We have a 4x2 w/ a stick and from the factory our Taco came w/ 215/70-15 w/ 3.31 gear. When I changed to 245/50-19. I felt the truck needed a gear change even with the supercharger. The best I could figure is 3.58 gear from the same truck w/ an auto world put the truck back very close to the stock gear ratio. I fill like Tacoma’s are over geared from the factory so I went to a 3.73 gear.
    :burnrubber:
Also not trying to change the subject but I must say I don’t/didn’t care for bench seat in most single cabs so I changed to another set of factory Toyota seats. I will say they are not the easiest to get in and out of but boy do they hold you in place & comfy to. What do you guys think? Plus now that the StopTech’s are in and working I must say the little single cab is starting to finally coming together. Now I need to get the water/meth kit installed, the exhaust system and do the suspension.

Excellent seat install! What seats did you get those from? Makes me think GT86.

I was thinking 5.29s since the auto could use the extra reduction. Not sure if I'll ever go bigger than 33s or 34s, the Reg cab is so light light and nimble I don't think it needs a huge tire. Which E-lockers do you have in the truck?
