    Nice! This is on my list of things to wrap up. Just haven’t decided on the seats yet. Excited to see pictures when you are all done!

    I had a set of the sport seats in a 1st gen, pretty comfortable after they get broke in.

    Will definitely post pics once they are in. Still deciding on a center console, leaning real hard towards a tuffy center console.

    I probably overpaid for scheelmann but I am very happy with them and find them comfortable. Heck anything is better than the OEM bench seat.

    I can't even give away the OEM bench seat for free locally but I am going to have to get rid of it eventually. I have too many seats laying around now. I have my original buckets out of my land cruiser from when I installed scheelmanns in that as well.

    I was wondering how well the bench seat would sell, doesn't seem to promising. I'm about to have a bench seat collection as well, just put a custom seat in my square body c10, so I have that original seat as well.

    Good luck on getting rid of that bench to a good home. A local buddy even attempted to test fit it in his 80s (don't remember the exact year) Xtra cab Toyota truck but it was too big. Not sure what else I can do with it to repurpose it.

    I wouldn’t mind a free bench for the next year or two so I could transport both boys.

    I don’t mind the bench seat, I thought I would hate it but already have a couple 6+ hr long drives under my belt and doesn’t seem that bad. I did modify it so that it can recline, which made a huge difference! Also installed a cheap vinyl seat cover from Amazon to make it easier to clean up after my dog, it has storage pockets in the back and is water proof so can’t complain for the price. I am a bit jealous of all the seat upgrades I’m seeing on this thread, especially the katzskin leather cover. I’d like to do something like that in the near future. Bucket seats would be cool but lots of work and money to do it right, plus every now and then I haul two passengers in the cab so I actually get the benefit of having a bench seat :D

    @ABA180 here ya go.

    I’d say fitment is a solid 7/10, maybe a 8/10 if you bother to take the seat out to install the covers. I chose to not use the headrest covers. They are pretty tight but didn’t like the scrunchy look at the bottom were the opening is that slides over the headrest. The color suits my interior and most people can’t tell it’s a cover or care. I haven’t had any issues with the covers getting loose or shifting around and is a breeze to clean up. The rear storage pockets are handy too!

    SC to MA still though :(

    Cool, TY. I'll have to look into it more. Rear storage wouldn't really be a selling point as I have my subwoofer enclosure right behind the seat. At just about 15 yrs old my seat has had a day and it ain't today..haha

    I'd really like to find the DC storage bins. The airbags wasn't happy. I know what I need to do to make them happy though. I put the bench seat back in this morning, that's when I figured out what I need to do with the airbag wiring, gonna be easy. I like the look of the seats, but I'm gonna sell them and get some oem bucket seats.

    I have been tracking down a a ticking/ rattling noise for the longest time. I have read every thread I could find regarding this issue as it only happens during hard acceleration. I can’t tell if it always did it, only had the truck for 1.5 years but definitely notice it a lot now. I just stumbled upon a thread about the same issue. The op did everything that was recommended. Most people said it was an exhaust leak which he found out he had one, replaced the manifold and still did it. The only thing that worked was switching from the k&n intake back to stock air box . My truck came with one of those and although I think it’s cool, I was never a fan of having an open air filter, as I tend to drive my truck off road a lot and get a lot of dust and muddy water in the engine bay. Only difference is he had a first gen tacoma and mine is a second gen, however I’m about ready to buy a stock air intake system from the junk yard and hope it solves that issue.

    NON airbag seats, in a airbag truck. No airbag lights. Still need to figure out a way to get the passenger seat bladder from the bench seat into the bucket seat, for right now its laying under the seat, very seldom does anyone ride with me, but I'm gonna make it right. Need to modify my factory seat belt to work with the bucket seat buckles.
