@banger4 I am unsure how much labor would cost. We installed it in my buddies drive way with some blocks, jackstands, and some beer. The only thing we were unable to do was compress the front struts to install the spacer. We had to take the struts out and take them to a shop. Cost $50 for them to Compress the struts and install the spacers. If all the correct tools are available and a lift is aswell the job should only take about 3-4 hrs. So multiply that by a shops rate. About 300-400 for a shop to do it. As for the tires. I dont have any pics from the 3 days i had the lift with the steelies and factory tires. But you can definitely tell its lifted. Looks kinda cool. Alot of wheel well exposed. I think if tou did the front spacer and not the rear add-a-leaf you could pull off factory rims and tires.

hey wovenhand, very unusual to see that little snow in bingotown this time of year.I just drove my 08 to cortland from wilmington,nc.I like the simplicity of the base model but I really missed the cruise control and bucket seats of my old s-10 on that 12 hr. trip.

When keeping factory tires and adding a lift do you guys notice any loss of power or mpg. I really want to lift mine if it doesn't cut out power or mpg

    hey TacomaWorld,

As we all know, space is a premium in an r/c Tacoma. I'm looking for ways to maximize space and organization in the cab, and this is the first little "mod" I came up with.

I have a great little packback from REI, called the Flash 18. The cool thing about this bag are the daisychain loops, the fact that its reversible, and it's low price.

What I did, was reverse the bag, and feed the center headrest through the top daisy chain loops. This lets the bag hang down on the seat back, giving me 5 extra pockets for storing all those little items that clutter up the truck. Gum, water bottles, sunglasses, etc...

No spindles (yet). Personally still deciding on what to do for the rear. I have 2.5 Icon's in the back but have about 1.5'' of bro lean. Undecided on shackle flip/ sua, standard leaf pack, or aal. It doesn't have to be functional to the point of abuse, but enough to reduce or eliminate axle wrap.

My truck won't be doing any high-speed off-roading just trails ect. Not a fan of bro lean but don't want a super harsh ride. I was hoping to avoid going sua and I want as much clearance as possible

Spezzy is running allpro standard springs on his truck w/ the same icon/camburg set up as my truck. It's not harsh at all once the springs get broken in. He accidentally launched it on a trail one night and it landed like butter.

edit: now that I think about some of the 4x4 crawling trips we have taken there's not much shutter back there either when cruising through a tight trail. I've considered this option myself but feel it would be too much lift before the springs settle.

Can't go wrong either way. The 'dog's jumping/wheeling days are pretty much over. So at this point I'm stuck on the decision so as to not over do it for a mall crawler....god it kills me to say that.

I mostly use mine for hunting as far as off-roading goes. I would love to go lt but that would have to be a toy not my daily driver

My 2011 r/c 2.7 4x4 auto. I love it! Did the day star 2.5 spacer and the 4runner 5 spoke wheels this past weekend. I dig my new look and have an appt. for tint on Friday.
