so how many gears are you replacing? after i tore mine all apart i ended up getting all new shift forks, shift drum, oil pump, 4 gears, cam chain, shift shaft, lever, and all the gasket bs and it was well over 700 with just parts :(

LS1-T56 swap, Z06 ported heads, cam, Titanium valves, Kevlar clutch. Now building a forged stroker (383) and all the ponies! Old setup was rod-knockin on heaven's door...
Mine is a 2 stroke. All shift forks 3rd 4th and 5th drum was fine.
I can't open that link from my phone but it's the main single spring off the shift linkage and I get parts at cost from sponsorship.

Hey guys, new to this race. I've found that having one of each is best. KTM 250xc and an 08 yz450 for the fast open sandy races in Florida. We do a lot of hare scrambles. The 250 is light and nimble hauls ass through anything. The 450 just keeps pulling no matter where. Lazy mans bike in the woods for sure. Awesome that there's a few bike threads in here.

mainly asking speed freak this but if any of you have experience in desert/dry rocky terrain, which tire are you liking the best? I just finished up a set of mx52s and they chuncked pretty bad after just two rides.. I was told by a buddy to check out the maxxis desert IT but no where in town stocks them.

I always had good luck with the Michelin star cross as well as the maxxis desert. Both very stiff.

If you ever make the mistake of moving to the east coast you won't be happy with the stiff tires. Dunlops and Pirelli are popular here.

Ripped around on the 500 today at the beach. Im actually debating about just keeping it for glamis and pismo... now that im getting even more confident on it, i can see why theyre the king of sand bikes. :bikewhoops::bikewheelie2:

Well this followed me home last night. It's like new and I feel like I stole it. ;) Lots of extras and he already titled/plated it so it's street legal. :D

Heading up to Rampart in a few to see how it compared to the 200.

Jefes you'll never need another bike. The only complaint I heard amongst some of the guys I race with is it can be nasty bike if ya sloppy with the throttle. Watch some erzberg videos and notice the bike of choice. 250/300 2 strokes everywhere. Only reason I bought my 250 is I got such a killer deal I couldn't pass. Perfect bike man. Good luck with it.

I have a 2014 XC-W200 and an 04 CRF250X as well. The 300 kinda feels like the 200 2t and the 250 4t had the perfect baby. And the 300 looks A LOT different today. :D

62 miles at Rampart yesterday w/ 30+ miles of single track.
