I went snow wheeling multiple times with my Toyo A/T. I had to air down and got really good traction so I don't mind airing down if I have too.

@EDDO will be fine. He winched plenty of us around that time. Even the guy with mtr's. I think even snatch pulled a few times...

My wearing out all terrains might suck but I could throw on some chains.
I'm supposed to be diving but if that gets canceled I might show up.

my AT,s haven't failed me, they are getting worn but I also don't mind driving like a crazy fuck in the snow. as long as you have aggressive tread 33" or larger and not afraid to air way down you will be good on this trip. but we plan on hammering down, ie not creeping . No chains!!! if you need the chains this trip might not be for you.

265/75/16's? Should be fine with good tread. Plus, you have a locker... and a winch.

My BFG AT's were great. Didn't do much snow wheeling, but they did better than my Cooper ST's on snowy roads.

New 33.4" unloaded Cooper ST's next to 40% tread loaded 265/75/16 BFG AT's. Ride height difference was probably an inch.

    image.jpg

I'm totally biased though. I've only run BFG AT's on my 4x4's (6 vehicles) since 1992. If they offered them in 255/85/16's, I'd have them now. I did have 33 x 9.5 x 15's on a 91 Montero- best tires ever IMO.
