Hi guys, quick question. Where do you find information about where your truck is made? It says it was made in the USA. Are there different factories that are set up in the USA? Thanks for your help and good luck to all those trying to resolve their issues.

No your not wrong about the "Entune" system since it does simply suck hind tit or at least it does if your pairing it up the Bluetooth with an iPhone. I won't going into the multiple problems that Toyota Entune software has with Apple products, just to many to list. Though lets just talk about the standard Entune radio system which is beyond bad in operation and performance. As I told Toyota corporate if I had know their Entune system sucked so bad I would have order my truck without it and bought an after market system that would far outshine the hundreds of dollars I spent on this turd radio, Bluetooth, and navigation system.

I went through this very exact thing when debating between an SR5 and a TRD. In the end, the other perks of the TRD packages won out. But I too am debating between adding a DSP Amp and replacing all the speakers, or just ripping the Entune system out and replacing it with a nice Pioneer nav system with DSP.

Android (Nexus 5x) user here... the rants:
    • No passenger control / park override.
    • Horrible sound quality from all sources (detuned).
    • Low max volume (windows cracked or down).
    • Messages features are yet to work.
    • Updates to OS have required repairing phone.
    • Nav won't read contacts
    • Pause (holding source), thumbs up/down and other options are too slow to respond.
    • No FWD - RWD on screen using Bluetooth source (Steering control arrows work if you can remember which one is FWD-RWD)
    • No Android Auto
I'm sure I have more. Just what I remember from my most recent drive in this morning.

IMHO the smart thing to do is order your truck without the horrible Entune system and go with a quality after-market head unit. Your so right that the sound quality just pain sucks and my future plan, if I keep the truck, is to add a signal processor and amp then if I don't like the sound replace the speakers. The navigation system is so hopeless that I just use my old Garmin and Toyota navigation as a back up. I have lodge a number of complaints with Toyota Corporate over the same issues I've had like you with using an iPhone and the Entune Bluetooth system. It's to the point I told them unless they have a major firmware fix for the entire system I want a new head unit. I've also demanded that they extend my warranty to cover possible future problems with the head unit and the problems I'm having with the truck automatic transmission lurching into forward or reverse gear and its constant shifting between fifth and sixth gear. There are days I some times just wish I had bought a Ford!

I hate that there is not a rubber insert for the cup holders. I know its trivial, but would make it easier to clean.

    I give them a look.

A new small issue has came up. Cd's will not eject from the head unit. I put one in, it plays fine, everything works like it should. Then when I go to eject it, it's like it gets caught up or something. It will not come out, and not play the disc anymore. Just says disc error.
I can get the disc out by putting another one in the slot and wiggling it, it makes it come on out. But then the same thing on the next disc, plays fine wont eject. Anyone else have this issue?
