It's a good looking truck.
I can't wait to see a Sport or TRD Pro version...I suspect it would appeal to me more than a Limited.

Also, can't stand how these body lines do not match up. What the heck is up with that?

 

The current 2nd Gen short bed has this same problem, but less pronounced.






I think the long bed versions will match up better.

It looks like a mutt from a several other manufacturers. The front end is the worst. I wouldn't buy it either.

THIS. This fact that this vehicle does not have 4 wheel discs is a joke. Just shows that toyota is willing to make shortcuts, even on a re-design. One thing is for sure is that the Tacoma fan boys are ecstatic.

I remember when the Dodge Rams came out in the early 2000's and we thought those grilles were huge, LOL. Now they're even bigger and we've gotten used to them!

 

You think the 1GR-FE sounds that different from the 2GR-FE at full throttle?

Yes, but at least the 2nd Gens follow the same curvature to the beltline. That makes it a lot less noticable. I have a 2013 DCSB by the way.

And I agree the long beds lines will flow better, just wish the short beds did too.

 

Exactly. It’s funny how many people said they wouldn't even buy it before specs are even released. I see posts on other threads about peoplenot caring about looks as much as dependability and other things then the maincomplaints on here are about small things like how the LED lights lookugly.

 

When all you give folks are pics that show tho looks, then all they're going to talk about is how it looks.

 

Its a thread on how it looks, and people are surprised there's a difference in opinion? How a car looks is always going to determine someones first impression of it. I don't know anyone that would buy a car they think is ugly just because its dependable. You have to look at it every day.

I'm with the majority, I think its an incredibly ugly frankenstein version of a bunch of new cars from other manufacturers.

And 75% of people say how ugly it is. And 100% of that 75% will end up with one at some point before the 4th gen comes out.

 

I have some concerns with the look but I agree with your last sentence. The improvement is what I'm looking for, as well as many others on here.

says you. I'd jump the toyota ship before I trade in a 2nd gen for 3rd gen
