Okay, I got a response from Melissa Stokes about the permit. This is what she had to say...

So basically, it sounds like I need someone else to step up and PM me with their contact info as the alternate contact so I can send the information to Ms. Stokes and she can do her thing. Any volunteers?

 

hey for the site reservation thing, is the length of stay gonna be 2 or 3 days? arrival is Feb 8, but then 9 and 10 would be technically 2 days we are staying. or is that including the arrival day too...

 

oh nevermind, I answered my own question by just looking....lol

Haha, impatient ain't ya. I was hoping to get the permit thing squared away before we got carried away in case they tell us no, we can't get a permit that weekend, but I guess it's all good.

Edit: since you jumped right in there though, PM me your contact info, as per what the lady asked and you can be the alternate contact.

Ever been to Gulches looks to be closer than the other two. @Taco No Baka lee if you need some info for the permit PM with what you need.

As far as Gulches, from what I gather it's a pretty hit or miss place. If it gets too wet they shut it down so it's hard to make long range plans for. We did have a huge meet planned a couple years ago, but it pretty much fell through because of that, although I had pulled out well before that since I tore up the truck at Hardrock and lacked the funding to go on the trip after I fixed everything.

 

Couldnt That be said for the other two as well? On second though maybe they are still accessible during the rain.

 

Thanks to @TacoTRD78 I've sent in the information for our Use Permit. Hopefully that will be one less thing for them to gripe at us about.

Up to you. I haven't heard back from Forestry yet about the permit so you'd be taking your chances.

 

Just an update. Ms. Stokes says I should be getting the Use Permit (application?) this week or next...I'm assuming in the mail and then I have to sign it and send it back to her so she can approve it, sign it and send me the actual permit. I still don't know if it's safe to start reserving. Until I have the actual permit in my hands, you guys reserve at your own risk, as long as I get site 20 (or 22).
