    1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.

    Yup I plan on building it this time unless I can find another engine that is good. I've had issues with this one from the beginning but just kept plugging with it

    Well shit. Is that a hole burned in the piston? If it is, then rebuilding it might not solve your problem. It's either a fouled up injector or you may have to put the stock exhaust with the cat back on it. Usually a hole burned in the piston indicates it's running too lean.

    I'm a little worried about the OGT this trip. I think it's developing a rod knock...not as bad as Frank's but I'm hoping it holds together long enough to get my new front and rear diffs so when I pull the front diff out I can drop the oil pan and hack mechanic it with a new set of rod bearings. If it breaks the piston rings on the ring ridge, then so be it. I'm looking for a serviceable 5VZ block anyway and I have another set of heads.
