    Ah, okay, that's on the west end of trail 16. It goes out to Lacanto hwy...or used to. They've closed a lot of those entrances down and I've never been all the way out to the pavement on 16 so I'm not sure if that's one of them.

    The Jeepers call that area "The Slip'n'slide". The washout on 14 they call "The Crack". I guess we Toyota folks lack the creativity to name the fun spots like they do, haha.

    LOL, I actually came in on 16 from Lecanto Hwy so it's definitely open to the pavement.

    10 is the one most people will be coming in on for the meet since the campground is off that trail. If I'm not convoying with anyone, I usually come up around Brooksville on 98 and take Brittle Rd in and jog over to trail 13 at Stage Coach. It gets me off the pavement faster. With a convoy, we usually stay on 41 and go through Brooksville to 581 to 10...unless I get confused and make a wrong turn, haha.

    ...and now I'm so effin' :jellydance:. Out of curiosity, ain't 4.88s a little deep for a 3rd gen, though? I thought 4.56s were pretty much crawling gears for 2nd/3rd gens, unless they were running extra large tires (38+)

    Haha, well admittedly they are down half a liter from 2nd gens and according to one of those truck magazine videos on youtube, they are the slowest generation so far (1st Gens being the fastest! :yay:). Still, I like 3rd Gens better than 2nds from a purely aesthetic standpoint...like the body lines and fender cutouts better and I like the dash better. Still, I guess there's something to be said for the ol' 4.0L mill. Looks like they shoulda went the other direction and designed a 4.5L V6 for the 3rd Gens. :D

    I despise the 3rd gen, im still not a very huge fan of how it looks, I prefer the 2nd gen and then 1st gen pickup look the most

    Haha, different strokes, I guess. I always hated the asymmetric shape of the fender cutouts on the 2nd gens, especially how they matched the contour of the windshield and roof. That always seemed cheezy to me. I'm pretty much a fan of '90s model Toyotas (5th Gen Hiluxes, 1st Gen Tacomas, 2nd and 3rd Gen 4runners, MR2s, Supras, etc...). I had a couple 3rd Gen Hiluxes ('81 & '83) and I liked them, but they were a little spartan for me at the time. My '83 didn't even have a radio in it IIRC, much less A/C. Still, they had solid front axles and that was a huge plus, and the 20 and 22r engines didn't seem nearly as gutless as the numbers would lead you to believe, but they were super lite trucks.
