    In my experience it's been a pretty mature, laid back group of folks. Nobody gets loud and rowdy that I've noticed in the previous two annual meets. It's definitely family-friendly. :thumbsup:

    Hey TW Florida!

    All's looking good for my wife & I to make our 1st trip to Citrus! Only change is that we will be going up there very early Saturday morning instead of late Friday evening. If I end up in the prinitive campsite, how primitive is it? Will there atleast be bathroom access? We've only camped once before. It was at Lazy Springs, FL and it was very prinitive. It only had port-a-potties.

    Primitive sites are about as primitive as they come. There's not fire rings or anything. They do have portapotti's and you can definitely use the bathhouse over on the RV side. It's a bit of a hike depending on how far back in the primitive area you're camping in, but it's not unworkable.

    No fire ring?! Damn! I'm borderline pyro and I plan on taking a SHITLOAD of wood. If I take my own fire ring will I be ALLOWED to have a fire on the primitive side?

    BTW, I cut down some pine trees last week. Would they be good for burning or will they not be dry enough?

    You can have a fire. There's just no fancy fire ring/grill thing like they have in the RV sights. You just have to build your fire on the ground. That's what we did the time we camped in the primitive side.

    Oh and pine is never good for burning, except as kindling or lighter knot. It's too sooty and it stinks (and make you stink if you're sitting by it). ;)

    Well. I'm as amature as they come. Hahaha! Thanks for the heads up brother! BTW, I know that I am listed as staying 2 nights but it may only be Sat to Sun. Either way, I plan to pay for 2 nights. If I don't go Friday then someone else can use it but I will definitely be there early on Saturday.

    No sweat. We aren't paying ahead of time. We'll pay for our own sites when we get there, so nobody is out any cash if you only want to stay one night. No need to pay for a night you weren't there. ;)

    OK. I just want to make it as easy as possible. We're talking about a lot of people here.

    BTW, at Lazy Springs we weren't allowed to leave between sunset & sunrise unless it was an emergency. Does the same apply at Citrus? I may arrive there before sunrise on Saturday so I'd like to know this.

    They don't lock the gates or anything. They just loop the chain through the cattle gate on the RV side and I don't think there are any gates on the primitive side. Tillis Hill is a different matter but since we're not staying there this time, I won't confuse anyone with unnecessary info. o_O

    We always do night rides and we usually get back to camp after quiet time, so we try not to make too much noise rolling in and try not to use any super bright lights so as not to disturb other campers. ;)
