This is my first post ever, and I just wanted to say thank you to all the members for the abundance of information that I gained from this Forum.

Technically this is not a Tacoma, but it has the heart of one. :p
Today was a very great day after a long year and a half build. The 2TR-FE hit the dyno today and did not disappoint. At the end of the day, we made 250WHP (around 290-300 Crank) and 258 FT LB of Torque out of the little 4 banger.

Here is some Quick Info :
    Stock Internals - 2TR-FE ( out of a 07 Tacoma )
GT2871 Dual Ball bearing turbo ( 12lbs of boost )
    750CC injectors
Haltech Map Sensor ( MAF removed )
    Haltech Elite 1500
    Haltech IC7 Dash
    Ported throttle body
    Stock Intake Manifold
    IAC Removed
    VVT - OFF ( for now )
    4-speed Transaxle (Top of 4th is 92mph)

Here is one of the Many Dyno Runs that were recorded.

Please let me know if you guys would like to know anything else about the build.

@TnShooter Thank you very much. It has taken a lot of trial and error to get to this point.

    Just out of curiosity
How much can a Stock 2TR take HP wise before it gives up?
I know there are other factors like the Trans, axles and more.

Just curious how strong the little 2TR is?

Mostly for Fast Fun, THough a Baja 500 is not out of the question.

Everything that I read is that 300Crank is right about the limit before Rodney comes knocking.
( we will find out soon enough lol )

I was gonna comment about both curves jumping at 3200, must be the VVT kicking in, but you turned off the VVT. I wonder if the VVT would make any difference with forced induction and only the intake cam being variable...? Anyway, I love to see NA 4-cylinders being pumped up with some thought and planning put into the build. Thanks for a great first post.
You getting any CELs? Haha j/k

Sounds like a stout build. Impressed with the stock bottom end. Subbed for longevity.

This is awesome!! I don't know if you troll the turbo bs thread since this is a turbo 2tr and all... I'm doing a similar build for my truck. Just double the boost. I'm going with LCE forged I-beam rods and pistons, along with some other goodies. ARP everything to keep it all together. I'm aiming for 500 hp at about 25lbs of boost.

    Now for my questions.
Did you install a balance shaft delete kit?
How do you like the elite 1500 and ic7? I was looking at the 2500 but it's apparently overkill.
How was wiring the Ecu up to the engine? Anything you run into?
What fuel pump are you running and what octane fuel?
Did you do any mods to the oil pan like baffles or windage trays to keep oil starvation to a minimum?
Are you running the stock injector setup or doing the fifth injector?
When are you coming onto positive boost and when is peak boost?

DO NOT REV TO 7k RPM LOL
I am Now rebuilding it the right way. Forged Rods & Pistons, Head Porting, Titanium Valves, Ballanced and Blueprinted.

I will Make a new thread for Teardown and rebuild.

Was it factory valves or aftermarket that bent?

I'll keep an eye out for the rebuild thread! Are you doing all the engine work yourself or having it done?

I just purchased the items needed from LCE. I will be doing the work myself over the next few weeks.

I just noticed that ARP DOES make head studs for the 2TR, so I will be swapping Those out.
Plan is to Run 22-25Lbs of Boost, 6500 RPM Redline.
I am undecided if I want to re-gear the transmission again or just deal with the speed for a season or 2 (95MPH Not fast enough).

I Purchased a New Cylinder Head to send out for a stage 2 Port and Polish.
I have reached out to 05Taco4x4 to Purchase aftermarket Fuel Rail and Plenum.

I will Update the New thread as soon as i start.

It’s sweet to see any kind of forced induction for our 4-cyl engines.

    I want a URD so bad…

So, sounds like to me, the 2tr 4 cylinder is 10psi all day long, as long as you honor the stock rev limiter on stock internals. Nice to know. I'm doing a rear-mount soon enough and that was my exact question-how robust is the internals stock. Thank you for your sacrifice!
