Good idea. There are tools to calculate loads and deflection on the site. I may not be up for the math, but I know a few people that are.

Too quiet for this quiet ... but at least I'm saving my leave time for productive adventures.

That thread = Thanks, that filled some time. I lost count, but at least 4+ pages of "This Crappy Cap w/ Broken Windows Drama" ...

Consider yourself befuckinholden. We're not worthy ...

PS: I almost wanted to comment, after the fact, when he told Pete to stop being a "Dick."

And now we know the rest of the story. :)

Missed that whilst I was fishing ... extremely cool!

    W T F ... WHISKEY-TANGO-FOXTROT (over)

    Go Surf! PERIOD

Back in a previous life (active duty C2 Superintendent days) I used to drill the 1 hour meeting rule into my Commanders (the good ones who would listen--fuck the ones who wouldn't *can't fix stupid). My favourite commander ever (in 26 years) came back up here from Illinois to do my retirement ceremony. I have the video of it; at the end when we are lining up for the retirement order to be read, I looked at my watch and whispered to him "59 minutes--perfect Sir."

    It's a nice memory. :)

Just catching up on what I missed during my fishing trip.

    Good morning all.

Off to set the shelter. Dad's getting his Father's Day gift a day early. I noticed his main extension cord is getting pretty chewed up, so I bought him a 100' 12 gauge replacement. I was going to buy a 50' one until I saw that a 100' one was only $20 more. I'll use it today with the hammer drill and hang it in his truck, no wrapping or card required.

Now I just have to come up with an excuse to avoid a family trip to my FIL's house for mandatory fun. I like him, but I could pass on nearly everyone else involved. I'm sure the feeling is mutual on all counts.
