That's kinda how I thought too. I loved my prior 3rd gens. I didn't make the jump to 4th gen until they were out for a year, but having had the 4th gen for a few months now made me appreciate all the new tech and refinement. I am really enjoying the 4th gen so far.

Man, I'm in the bush leagues... Nine cars/trucks/SUVs across 37 years, plus five motorcycles though. I just keep stuff a while - still driving my 3rd gen bought in fall 2016, though looking at moving to a 4th gen.

I sometimes wish I could keep things longer. Ironically the less "fun" a vehicle is, the longer I tend to keep it. I love the Tacoma and it's slow and super pragmatic. With luck I'll keep this the long haul.

Same here with wishing I could keep things longer without getting bored - I've had over 100+ different vehicles in my 36 years of driving. The downhill slope all started when my first car was stolen and was found to unable to be repaired. I used to keep a list of all of them, but I didn't update it for a few years, and then just decided it made me feel worse to see the entire list.
I used to justify my habit because I drove 24k miles in year commuting, but for the last few years, that isn't the case so its just me getting bored and wanting something new to experience...

It’s your money. People spend tons of money on hobbies. Why not? Life is short.

I also have car + motorcycle ADHD.

I've got my driver's license in 1992 and have had 70+ cars/trucks, and 100 different motorcycles.

There is no way to justify my impulse buying/selling other than it is a hobby.

I’ve had my share of dirt and street bikes. Same with sports cars. Now I’m content driving my 4Runner and Tacoma. A cop pulled me over for doing 40 in a 30. Lol

I guess I just get settled in with a vehicle set up how I want it. Plus I like my monthly payments going into investments rather than paying a loan.

Mostly I change vehicles when I'm forced to (totaled), or reliability starts coming into question, or my needs change. I have a 4th gen Miata 6MT for my funcar and Tacoma for hauling stuff. Does what I need.

I agree 100%. I'm a gadget guy and the 4G Is gadget laden unlike prior gens. I had bought the 1G Lmited and was very disappointed that it wasn't really a "Limited." I bought the 3G knowing that it wasn't really a "Limited." I bought the 4G knowing it really is a "Limited." Since I bought the 1G in 2004, it took me 21 years to finally get the truck I really wanted. Honestly, I'm not past the 4G being a four-cylinder turbo but, hopefully, it holds up over time like the other gen's have.

I still have some sports cars. They compliment the Taco well!

i’m definitely not that low. my 6MT gets 18 in the city/suburban but minute i’m cruising on the interstate or a highway i get up to 23-23.5. no lift on 32 inch tires.
