Yep, you're getting just about as far away from where they refine it as possible. We've always had higher than normal gas prices. We also have zero State income tax, so taxes on gas is higher.

Welcome to Reno! The biggest little city.




The National Bowling stadium. If you are in your 40’s you probably seen this place on ESPN or on regular tv back in the early ‘80’s. Yes it’s free to enter . No you can’t bowl on the lanes unless you enter a tournament. The casinos downtown Reno have bowling tournaments all weekend long. There’s a bowling museum and there’s bowling lanes available upstairs to open bowl. Up top is a pro shop . Souvenirs available. It’s pretty cool if you watched the pro Ams back in the day.


Also Reno has minor league baseball. The Aces!


A quick stop a Carson city Toyota to see if they had Tacoma swag.. nope
Lunch in Carson city at Fandango casinos Rum jungle Buffet.. ummm yes. We were there 3 hrs sitting at the table and rotating out to the casino floor for a few pulls on the one arm bandits!


Oh and they (Fandango casino Carson) has a movie theatre attached to the casino so my Mom in law,wife , daughters and I all went to see the new Jurassic world.. mmm .. it’s ok ⭐️ ⭐️

Walked down the trail 2.4 Miles rd trip. 700 ft down. Who wouldn’t want to touch the inside of a volcano!
Per the crater lake web site......
this is a strenuous and steep switchback trail with a steep grade (11%). The trail descends to a rocky shoreline at Cleetwood Cove where concessionaire tour boats (concessionaire tour boat web page) will take you around the lake or drop you off at Wizard Island (Wizard Island Summit trail). The trail is recommended only for those in good physical condition. It should not be attempted by anyone with heart, breathing, or walking problems. It is not accessible for people with mobility impairments. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes and carry water. Vault toilets are located at the top and bottom of the trail.

The trail leading to Cleetwood Cove begins along East Rim Drive approximately four and a half miles east of North Junction. The route begins on the right side of Rim Drive at an elevation 6,850 feet

Just did a 5400 mile road trip in 5 1/2 days. went from Idaho to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Bronx, NY and back. Love stopping at World's Largest Truck stop. Trip was to bury grandma's ashes in Michigan, pick up some items from her house and then to Bronx to get some furniture from an Aunt that has an apartment in the Bronx, but is living in Okinawa, Japan. Truck did very well with 4 people in it and towing a uhaul trailer from the Bronx to Idaho. Love doing vacation road trips with the family. So far my 21 and 18 y/o daughter's have seen 44 states.
