If you're going to wait there, bring something to do. The waiting room is sparse, and the entire facility smells of gear oil. You will be more than ready to leave by the time it's done, LOL. There's also nothing around.

I drove about 20 minutes for my first stop, I went to Toros Tacos + Tequila in Franklinton. Super small little town, but fantastic tacos there.

How long did it take? I was going to drop it off the day before and stay in a hotel somewhere and get it later the next day.

I got there right as they opened, 8am or so. Was gone by 1-2pm.

Left from Charlotte around 5am, got home around 9pm. Long day.

220 pages of info... I'm just gonna ask again Lol.

Is there an addition to haul/tow capacity with 5.29's?
I'm planning to load up a Uhaul trailer for a trip. Thanks!

Legally and safely, nothing is going to raise your tow capacity. Towing over the manufacturer suggested tow capacity is a liability, plain and simple. However, 5.29s will definitely help with towing as the motor will not work as hard to tow the same load.

it will make it easier to tow. Tow capacity is based off of braking power, frame integrity, and power train capability. You can beef everything up to make towing up to the max easier, but still not recommended to go past max

Looking to do 5.29's in my automatic tacoma with the locker.
Why question is, Where can I buy the gears (preferably the factory that supplies all these places)? I have a gear guy that can install but need to supply the gears and install kits.

    *EDIT*

Also, do I need to do an ECGS upgrade?

get the ECGS bushing for the front diff. Get oem pinion seals for both diffs. Give East Coast Gear Supply a call for their best price on gear sets and bearing sets. Nitro or Yukon gear sets are both good. Yukon has way better bearing kits than Nitro does.

I ended up with Revolution and they've been great so far. There's a video somewhere in this thread where they talk about the manufacturers of gears and which are recommended.

I would 100% do Revolution gears again, as well as OEM bearings and seals. I’d probably do Revolution minimum kits as well but buy OEM pinion nuts since those are what was screwed up in my mini install kits. The front was right, the rear nut was too small. I should have confirmed that in the 7 months I had leading up to the install….but didn’t think I needed to.

Thanks gents. Lots of info out there and good reviews for both Rev & Nitro. Seems a few less instances of people talking about whine with the Revs, so worth looking into for sure.
I usually do all my own work and installs, but gearing, and correct lifting geometry for IFS are some things I'm going to have my shop tackle.
I'm going to engage them on the R&P manu question as well.

I’ve had an absolute blast with mine for almost two months now. No regrets at all. Glad I didn’t do 4.88, and that’s on an MT with baby tires lol.
