Sorry I failed to respond earlier.

They have the full line. As for valving there is a big knob to control hydraulic damping. They looked well made and very HD. He said they had zero failures and it's what he runs.

So has anyone installed 5.29 gears in manual or auto 3rd gen and regretted it?

I have an auto, 33” tires and got 5.29. I regret waiting a year to get regeared to 5.29s. Shouldve done it sooner

I’m more than 100% happy with the 5.29 on my Auto/33”. No armors, just weight of a tonneau cover and about 40 lbs of stuff in the bed + a 33” tire/wheel under the bed. Just went outside to take pic of how many miles I’ve put on the new gear. 640 miles so far, just been taking it real easy, babysitting the new gear and even then the truck now drives so effortlessly. It’s so willing to go forward even when I’m just lightly stepping on the pedal. Can’t wait to feel how it drives when I really step on it and looking forward to a slight bump in MPG. Damn! I now really enjoy driving my truck. Will post more updates down the road.

Sounds like for manual transmission tacoma's 4.88 gears maybe the right thing, unless your truck weighs 7,000 lbs like my piggy

Watch the 2nd video, they vacillate a bit. I'm still going 5.29 MT. When I weigh the potential of "oh shit, should have gone lower" v. "oh it's a bit higher RPM in 6th at 70mph" it's a no brainer for me.

What size tires are you thinking of running?

Right now 31.5" or so OD. When these wear out, I'll get new wheels and 33".......maybe

Is there anyone with an auto/V6 on 265/75's with the 5.29's? I am on the fence between that and 4.88, but am on 32's and don't plan on going bigger. My taco was working way too hard pulling hills in VT on our last week long trip. We are roughly GVWR with all of our gear. It was shifting all over the place to the point where I was worried about burning the trans up and locked it into 4th at 60mph. It was going between 4/5/TC lock and not spending more than 2 seconds in any of them.

Anybody with gears not using 85w(or 80w)-140? What are you using?
