The $5 Console Lock Box

It's so awesome it deserves another thread. Mine is not completely done yet because I diasassembled after this photo and went to put red loctite on the threaded portions and I stripped it out when retightening . Yet, before I did so this thing feels pretty solid when locked. It won't prevent a theft but it's sure to slow them down.

It sure took some courage to drill a hold in my console as well.

Good job, this was my favorite and first mod too. It has been very useful.

 

I like. Especially since glovebox doesn't lock

 

I never saw this in the 2nd gen mods section. If its not there someone needs to put it there!

 

It actually "feels" factory. Its a solid lock like it's suppose to be there.

 

Just don't use it for your gun in Commiefornia.
Not only is your MO CCW permit not valid in California, transport is also required to be in "a secure, locking container other than the glove box or utility compartment"

You can use a mini/nano Gunvault and put that in the console or glove box, but the vehicle's factory compartment is not legal.
