    There is a plug underneath the oil filter. A perfect place for a sensor. Remove the plug and install an adapter. 1/2"NPT to 1/8"NPT.

    There is also another plug lower and on the timing cover itself. A little harder to see, but it has some rust on it. It could possibly be used as well. That plug is post filter, so if something is going on at the filter, it would be realized on the gauge

    Yes, it is. If coolant temps are hot, especially from the aid of trans fluid temps, it won't keep the oil all that cool. Since it is a water cooled oil cooler. Heat saturation will still happen. As the oil will be heating up the coolant as well. That thin radiator is tasked with removing heat from three sources.
