    So in Toon's or your case (Tor) Do you think you would notice a performance gain with the cutout open? Or is your muffler not restrictive enough to hold the boost up?

    His had already 3" straight through mufflers and resonators. They were a restriction themselves. Over the length of the exhaust, it will be a restriction due to varying exhaust pressures/speeds, relative to the turbo spooling or not. A cutout allows for a path of less resistance, sooner.

    A lot of vehicles going for absolute power, respective to event restrictions, have the shortest exhaust run possible. Specifically to allow the exhaust gasses to evacuate with the least amount of resistance. Resistance due specifically to the slower moving gases occupying the length of a full exhaust, up until they to are moving at the velocity of the exhaust gasses at the exit point of the turbine housing.

    Me personally, it is just another accessory, to add to the complexity. More weight and parts. I like my build as simple as possible, all things considered.
