    Are there shorty headers that work with the stock Y pipe? I'm guessing those would be the JBA shorties?

    How would one weld them to a stock Y pipe, i'm confused...

    My girl stood on point with her DSLR and took a few rapid fire shots of me doing a donut, and thats where the signature pic came from. SHEs a trooper and took a rock to the hand the first time and had the guts to do it AGAIN!

    U weld the CATS from the old manifolds to the new shorty headers.... those bolt onto ALL the stock locations, and ur all set. :thumbsup:

    I shoulda took pics of the process, but it was a good 5hrs IIRC.........I spent most of it hanging out with TeamSarcasm in SLO handing out food to the homeless, and complimenting random strangers......Im a people watcher.

    I need intake and shorty headers....but first i'm considering making an oil catch can rig.

    I wonder how hard it would be to weld the two different metals though? The stainless or titanium etc. headers to the rusty ol' Y-pipe.....

    I probably won't get off my ass and get headers but my manifolds are :puke: looking

    the headers are stainless........and ceramic coated in/out......not sure what toyota used on the stockers.

    remember tho, NOTHING on the ypipe gets welded in this project. The Ypipe still bolts to the headers.

    I hope u have small hands........... Its time consuming just bolting the headers on

    Doug Thorley, and JBA are the only two companies that have weld on shorties, that I am aware of. Magnaflow and AFe have shortie style, with the cats already welded on. (I believe AFe). Those two are straight bolt on, like long tubes.
