Alright..... This rasp is killing me on the urd mk2 "catback"

I know there's the 2 muffler idea, but Idont wanna have two mufflers.

I was wondering if anyone else had a suggestion for eliminating the rasp of the thorleys longtubes, urd y pipe, and mk2 exhaust.

I will not change or delete the headers or y pipe.... I'm also keeping the 3" piping from the catback since its 304 SS.

Inline resonators, resonated tips, round muffler, oval muffler (prefer no chambers), diff brand muffler.... Lemme know what has worked.

I may entertain a chambered muffler, but Thats last resort.

I also have it chopped after the axle just before the spare tire.... This didn't make the rasp change a bit, so I'm not going to extend the outlet further..... The volume doesnt bug me, its not overly loud cruising... Just raspy.

I will not extend the exit for two reasons

    1. I like the added clearance(remember iI do play offroad sometimes)

    2. Most important.... I'm tired of rubber being flung onto the exhaust when its routed past the axle.... I'vealready scrubbed it off a few times and its not fun smelling burning rubber days later on ur exhaust.

You sure you won't change the headers? ;) URD's new equal length look pretty nice and that is supposed to be better in terms of rasp (and performance) that DTLT's from what I have heard.

nah, Im not sold on em.
If I want less rasp, Im sure I can get the right resonator or muffler much cheaper than the headers.

If I want more hp that bad, I can just throw on the 2.85 pulley sitting on my shelf :)

My thorleys are less than a yr old anyhow.

Just means they are easier to sell ;) haha

I'm still waiting on more dynos on those things but Tor seems to be pretty fond of them.

As for your rasp issue... I have no advice. The only exhaust mods I have done is reshaping my factory stuff via rocks... And I'm pretty sure that didn't improve the sound or rasp any. haha

    No more shudder.

Had my buddy swing by and install my CB drop... Also noted the CB housing was upside down, drain hole facing up.

    Had him flip it.

Now I have no shudder that I can feel... It used to be 15-25 mph and more noticeable on right turns.

Cb drop was the ome type.

I tried the beefed a long while back and it shifted the shudder to about 65-70 mph iirc and was unacceptable.

Well, since I kinda HAD to get an a pillar pod, I may as well use it right?
The boost gauge hidden where the 4x4 switch is for some of u was pretty slick, but this uses the pillar to its potential, and now I have an open spot where the boost gauge was for...... Well, I'm not sure what's next.

    Suggestions?

The GPS is mounted with a ram mount and some bolts...... I ran a new aux 12 volt power source into the glove box and ran the GPS power to that spot.... So both outlets up front are still open

    Boredom I tell ya......

    Now......

I have to trace down a leak...... My driver side floor is wet under the floor mat.
Both sides of the firewall are dry tho, so I don't know where the water came from... Truck was outside a few hrs in the rain, windows were up. I'm kinda lost here, but I did smell the carpet and its def water.

Thnx brother..... She has her moments :)

Just not sure wtf happend with this water leak.
I seen some posts about water leaks after mudflap removal, but I've had the flaps off for at least 3yrs I'd say. He truck didn't leak before from what I remember, and it was outside for 8-16hrs at a time at work, rain or shine.

Do we have a drain line for the roof or something that needs to be cleaned or blown out?
    If so, where?

This truck shouldn't be leaking :(

Its like a body builder pissing his pants or something..... The beast should not have a leak, u know what I'm saying?

    Do you park under trees?
Is it the common problem of the drain line behind the dash getting clogged and overflowing?

My wife is a PT. Well she will be in about 6 weeks anyway.

Shitty about the leak. Rather odd too. Your feet weren't real wet every time you got in your vehicle were they? My floor is basically soaked all winter long from tracking snow into the vehicle, especially when snow wheeling. Mix that with cold temps all winter and it can't dry out well so it stays wet until spring/summer comes around.

And where are the pics of this $5K trans? ;)
