    That was the "Krispy Kreme Tuesday" event that a guy posted on Facebook/Twitter.
    There were only two of those events... first one caught Burbank PD by surprise. Last one they were prepared and had the streets shut down by 6:30, and had motorcycle cops looking for HIDs and tint as early as 3.

    "Trophy Truck Tuesday" goes every month and as long as you aren't driving/acting like an asshole, Burbank PD has plenty of other things to keep them busy.

    My boss ended up getting stuck working until after 11.
    He was pissed because the way the PD closed the roads, they just made a big "toilet bowl" around the center, rather than proper detours, and there wasn't much he was able to do to mitigate the traffic.

    He printed out one of our system detector graphs that shows occupancy going off the chart, while the speed and volumes took a major dump on Buena Vista at Empire... stuck it on his office wall.
