    ahhhh gotcha.

Well good luck! Hope it works out. Hope its not a downgrade. For some reason I feel like I've hear the BLM is a better agency to work for but hell if I know.

Well it should be an upgrade in pay (or will be shortly after starting) and it’s permanent so it would take a lot of work to randomly cut my position again. It may be a downgrade from office culture and work-life balance but I’m willing to risk it. My BLM office can hire me back pretty quick as soon as a fish bio position opens. So I am going into it with an open mind. If I get the job, I get to work in another office/agency and decide which I like better.

What a roller coaster life is! I have been stressing about having to find a job for the past few months. Well, yesterday I was informed that the Forest service is moving forward to hire me and Lizzy got offered a job tonight! Guess we are staying in Idaho for a long time!

The ol’ gal has been shuttling me all over central Idaho this summer for scouting, hunting and fishing. Man I love this truck.

I haven’t started. Still waiting on the final offer. Lizzy loves her new job! It’s going really well and it’s been fun with both of us working on salmon recovery.

Got the final (official) job offer! I’ll be starting my new job as a Forest Service Fish Biologist in Kamiah, ID around November 10th. Beyond excited to have this opportunity and work on some amazing rivers.

For now. That’s the downside to this position. I’ll be commuting roughly 45 minutes one way. I will be transferred shortly after starting to a nearby station. Once transferred, we will start looking for a place with land nearby.

45 min in Idaho is better than 5 minutes in WI... Just saying. :cookiemonster:

The only person involved is the idiot with two thumbs up (me). I’m fine. Crawled out on my own and ran up the road to flag down the next truck so it didn’t hit the cruiser.

What happened? Did you swerve to miss the police cruiser? Or what?
