Also something I didn't really think about but I am very seldom with someone else that has CO2. Regardless, it will be a rare circumstance that I will need an impact gun on trail. The majority of the use will be something as simple as rotating tires regularly. Ill look at regulators/tools tomorrow and weigh out the pros and cons of everything. I don't think there is really a wrong option talked about so far and whatever direction I go will be useful.

Yea you're probably right about the co2. If the impact doesn't fit you can always take part stuff until it fits if that's the only option to get a bolt loose.

This bolt is actually in a weird place that makes it hard to get to and if I can't get to it with the impact as is then I will have to remove the timing cover. Pretty sure with an extension I can get it with any impact gun...might need one of those joint adapters that let you get to it at an angle.

More tools! My collection is getting pretty big. I need to look into storage solutions soon enough.

First day of classes for me. Gonna be a rough but awesome semester!

@BabyTaco what are we looking at? Is the a scoped picture of #4 cylinder? I can't really tell. If it is, it looks like there is some oil burn and water. Are you loosing coolant too?

Yep, top of #4. I have not seen a decrease in coolant and I have been watching that regularly to see if it might be a head gasket. Pretty sure that is a big ass crack on the bottom right corner.

Are you talking about the orange, red or in between? The groove in orange looks like the factory groove they put in the pistons to make a little more room for the valves. I was thinking that in between looking like your cylinder ring. In the red kind of looks like some possible scoring on the cylinder wall. It's kind of hard to tell much from the pic though.

Yellow arrow looks like recessed area for valve clearance.
Red looks like reflection from camera or overhead light.

Can you point to where you think there is a crack?

Doubt it's cracked. But wow. It looks shitty in there.

Here is a better pic. Found out I can adjust the light and brightened it up. Tried to dig out details in PS but not much can be done to such a low quality image. What looked like scours on the walls is actually just the reflection. I can't see much other than they look shiny and decent.

I think I just freaked out a bit when I saw the weird looking line in dim lighting . I can't see any obvious damage other than the gunk. The walls look good but all I can really see on them is the reflection.

Yeah, but that shouldn't lead us to believe there is an issue farther than valve seals, right? I decided to go with a cordless impact. I don't want to add air to my tool collection until I am in my own place or know I am not moving for a bit. A cordless impact makes the most sense for my life. If there is not obvious reason to believe it is a problem with the piston, I can get it ordered tomorrow or Wednesday and hopefully complete this project over the weekend. It should go very quick up to the point that I got stuck now that I have done it once already.

Obviously an easy way to determine if it is an issue is to just dig in and see for myself...

I haven't bought one yet. Debating between dewalt and Milwaukee current. Both well be more than enough for me but the dewalt is cheaper.
