Glad you got a profession to help ya with it man. In the long run, I think it will be beneficial. When you gonna post some pics of this new LC though?

Someday soon when I use it haha. Topped off the brake fluid today. Looks like I got to it in time before I got air into the master cylinder. I found the leak too. Should be a simple fix.

Gonna use the LC to pull baby t to her temp home tomorrow. After that I might enjoy the nice weather by giving the cruiser a much needed wash and wax.

Ash's bday is coming up so we will probably grab pics then.

I officially start work on monday. I am going to work full time over spring break to cushion the cost of fixing baby t. Which I don't think will be to bad in the long run. I get super stressed when I mess with my savings account so I can't wait to get back to my comfort level .

Bruiser is the DD mobile tonight. Can't believe how smooth a vehicle is from the early 90's. Much smoother than my truck.

Put the cruiser to use to get some much needed mountain air. Ash turns two on Tuesday. Where does the time go!!!! More pictures coming this week. We are taking a trip to Sheridan on Friday so Ash is gonna have a blast at my parents with their dogs.

Haha, the roads were closed so the cruiser was in a dirt parking lot. Hardly pic worthy. There was one posted at some point.

Got a call from the machine shop saying there was rust. I went in to look at it and it's really just confusing.

Only the 4th cylinder has rust. The rust looks like it starts at the head gasket but there is not obvious sign it was blown and that could cause it. The intake has gunk but nothing that would be the culprit. about 1/2'' of the bottom stroke is spotless.

    Options:
Sell Truck: Not happening (not worth selling and buying with value of the truck and add-ons)
    Rebuild Engine: ~$3200-4000
Used Engine: ~$2500 plus $1000 to install

There is a possibility the rust can be removed and new rings can get installed but that will save me only a $300 or so.

After talking to him for a bit, it seems like rebuilding it is the best option. You have no clue what you are getting with a used engine and in the end you are paying close to, if not more, than a rebuild. I think I am going to swallow the cost and get it rebuilt. Ill cry myself to sleep for a year and survive on ramen until I am happy with my bank account again.
