That was me! I grew up around there.
If you bring the Cruiser we'll have to try and meet up. It would be cool to check yours out and get some more motivation to find a motor for that one I just picked up.

Cams has weird brown stuff on it. Super weird since when I pulled them out it they looked perfect. I wrapped them in plastic asap. He "cleaned" one pretty decent but we are not sure what will happen. We can't buy new cams so it is what it is.

Alright, while waiting/deciding (aka most likely doing it) for the snorkel gb, I went ahead and bought the Volant tube from a member on here for $40 shipped (Thanks @T@co_Pr3runn3r). Ordered a powercore filter to fit it with a pre-filter sleeve. That will be more than enough for the months leading up to Summer. The truck won't see a lot of dust until late may when things start drying out.

I'll look at how everything is laid out once I get the truck and CAI on. And then start determining how I wan't things to work out in the future.

Anyways, I should have a running truck by monday. Ill drive it around town, make sure things sound fine and keep inspecting it for leaks. I have a good feeling all will be well though. Should have the CAI on it by next weekend and headed on a trip to Lusk to photograph an old house from the 1900's.

Went in and saw the progress on the engine. It's in the truck and should be running soon. Talked to him about the water pump and we decided to do it real quick. I went to toyota to get it ordered...$180!! I told them that's bs and it is a $80 part. He took me in the "back" and said yep, I can't even buy it cheaper than $80. This is the best price you will get.

Got home and ordered one online for $60 "OEM" shipped to my door on monday.

Trucks ready to run. Just waiting on water pump. He's going to keep it for a day to drive it. Looking at paying and driving away on Wednesday.

Rather excited. Decided to keep the cruiser through the summer. Gonna replace the brake lines and throw a CB in it so the gf can drive it about with me on back roads.

There is a small oil leak. Either oil pan gasket or the rear main seal. Slow and haven't seen a drop in oil with it. If its the oil pan ill do that over the summer too.

The truck will go under for a bit too. Ripping out the interior and installing sound deadener.

Then @SconnieHailer UCAs I bought from him right before engine surgery started. Might try to plan that as a trip to lander for help with install/allignment :)?.

Soon as the airflow GB starts I will grab one and will be doing a snorkel install party for that.

Also, I spoke with another member about the safari snorkel. It would cost more but I could get it at a nice discount. Any thoughts on which is better? Both look big and obtrusive but I kind of like how the safari runs along the outside of the fender.
