Who did the work on your engine? May need new rings in mine possibly even boring it depending on amount of wear.

A local machine shop. Are you near Laramie, Wy? It looks like you are in Texas?

Yep. In Texas. Did they bore out the cylinders? If so where did they get the new rings?

I have no idea where parts were sourced. They did bore the cylinders. If you want, you can contact Ray at the Laramie Machine Shop. He is the one who ordered the parts and did the work.

Well, the truck is back at the machine shop to have the engine pulled and get the leaks fixed. For the few blocks I drove it, everything felt great. Hometown Garage did an awesome job on getting my truck back to top notch condition. ETA on getting the truck back from the machine shop is Friday.

I will elaborate on everything this weekend.

    How's your Cruiser running?
I wrapped up the motor swap in mine this weekend, it was nice to finally see it move under its own power. Yours has 35's correct, any idea how much lift? Mine needs tires sooner rather than later, but I'd rather not buy them twice as 35's are the goal. Thinking about trying to stuff the 35's on there while I save up for the Icon suspension.

Cruiser runs great. It has a small rear main seal leak but otherwise its pretty solid. I saw the belts were pretty worn so ill be replacing those this summer.

It does have 35's and moves them on the street fine. Slow but it can hold 65 just fine. Not sure how it crawls with them, but I am guessing more power would be nice. You can run 35's but I would look into power options soon if you planned to wheel it a bunch. It has an OME lift. I am guessing 3in but I really don't know.

Its weird, but I actually prefer hoping in the cruiser over babyt now days for the around town stuff. The cruiser will be staying though. Just a cool, fun vehicle to drive around.

Good to hear your enjoying it. I'm looking forward to getting ours out and about. I got plates for it today so maybe I'll drive it to work tomorrow.

I had kinda planned on seeing how it reacts to 35s and regear sooner if necessary. If it gets gears I'll probably build some armor for it and wheel it like that for a while.

I have 4.88's and 35's on my '80 and it gets around ok. I would like to have deeper gears in the mountains though, it's still kind of a turd up the passes.

The name is Bruiser the Cruiser . Had a treat yo self moment yesterday. Picked up the 14.5" Weber smoker. We have been debating ways to build one. We started collecting parts for a flower pot smoker but sourcing the correct pots was challenging. Pics of tasty pork and cold smoked trout and cheese coming soon :).

Time to get this summer started then.

Guys, I have an awkward situation. A new baby t has moved in on my turf. A 2012+ mgm reg cab on 33's was spotted in Laramie. I have never been involved in a turf war before...
