Normally I would kind of enjoy having something to do but with work and it being summer...i just want to drive the truck haha. O well. It takes the gal and I about an hour and a half to change the seal out.

Noises! On a cold start up it rattles for a good second or two. The rebuild guy says its just lifters, etc but it has never been an issue. Then there is a odd noise while idling that doesn't sound quite right. Plus I changed the oil/filter and it looks like yet another leak on the timing cover.

Truck goes to the shop on Wednesday to determine if it is a leak and diagnose the noises. Sounds like a damn diesel now days.

 

If I were to ever sell, I would offer an option for wyo guys to take her. Truth is, ill probably just fight my way through summer. During school I don't need a truck or a car. Doubt ill sell it, it will probably sit in a barn and be deemed a trail rig.

I sold my other car and it's hard to fit my girls in the regular cab.

 

It's possible that I would, and also possible I wouldn't. I won't sell until I have a full time position anyways and that's a year away when I graduate. Until then it's saving my pennies and hoping she doesn't crap out on me .

That sucks man! I'm sorry you're still having engine problems and leaks again! I hope you don't sell it, it's still one of the cooler Tacos around town. Just think of all the miles you're not racking up on it with it parked. See my optimism?!

This has gone all over the place , what bad luck.
Once the engine was fixed , I was watching for the snorkel install going smoothly , but now we're talking leaks and possibly selling the truck ?
Is there ANYthing going right ?
