Have you or the mechanic checked the harmanic balancer? My '89 isuzu's slipped and caused all sorts of problems. From grinding noise to lose power. Also caused the motor to shake and of corse the timing was off. Also, blew out the head gasket, valve cover gasket, and front seals and rear seal. My slipped from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock. Just a thought. Good luck with it.

I believe he checked it during rebuild. I am not exhibiting those problems though.

The morning the truck started perfectly. Just like it did brand new. Would this lead the issue to be caused by how the truck is stopped? Like which pistons are up/down?

BabyT is back on the road? Hopefully this is the revitalization of the legend BabyT.

For a bit, it's not fixed yet. There is still something not right.

Snorkel holes are drilled. Letting the primer dry and then I'll finish the install. This was way easier than I thought it would be.

Does BabyT have an EGR valve? This just happened to me today with the isuzu, the EGR valve stuck closed for some unknown and caused the truck to stall. I had no power and it would not stay running without constantly feathering the gas. When I found the EGR valve stuck I pulled the vacuum line to it off and the valve released. The truck started fine and I let it run for 30minutes with no problems. I'll have to drive it to see if it does it again.

I would have to look/ask. It sounds familiar but I don't know off the top of my head. Sounds like your Isuzu is quite the headache ha

It has been ever sense I was talked into replacing the motor about 12,000 miles ago. I didn't know much about motors then, but I'm learning more and more every week. Also, didn't have good luck with the first two shops that did the motor replacement, and repaired the alot for the first guys crap work. Then, it got to where the second shop would one thing and not mention anything about other stuff that needed to be fixed. About every 3-5 months and $300- $800+. I finnally found someone who does what he says, and tells me about other problemsbefore I pick it up thinking everything is good to go. I had to towed enough that I could have bought a trailer and cheap winch to tow it myself.

Finnallly, broke down and bought my son a 2008 4runner to take to college, and I get to learn more about my old isuzu in hopes to have a back up vehicle.

Hey, good to see BabyT again lol

Question, what body harness are you using for Ash? I jsut got a new pup and figured you might know of a good model that won't break the bank but will be comfortable for him to grow into a little bit. I know I'll probably have to get a smaller size for now but he will grow quick.

Less than ideal, but better than it was. We made it to lander and down some basic trails. Having lunch and then driving back to Laramie.

When I get home I'll let you know. I have used a few and the most recent is the best for walking. I don't know the name off the top of my head though.

Also, puppy photos will be required before I give brand names.

Baby T seems to be on the mend after wheeling some mediocre trail and 4 hours of highway driving! The reg cab on 35's walks trail like a champ. I've got a few photos of ash to post in here as well :)

We made it home. The truck appears to be fine and drove great. It's been starting up better and didn't have a hard start the whole weekend. We could hear a faint rattle after it sat all night but nothing like It has been.

The snorkel performed great as well and the air box is dust free. I followed the whole time so I saw plenty of dust.

Great end to a summer. I have a week left before classes start, not sure if/when the truck will go in. I think I am going to get some much needed maintenance done next week and try to get another small trip in.

Those came out great . The shot of the tipi is pretty epic. Seek outside was having a photography challenge, but I can't remember the details on it. You might be able to get into a drawing for a free tent.
