Where'd you end up in ID? I'll be as far north as Sand Point next week and then down through Avery area. Let me know, maybe you can buy me a local ale somewhere.

Living in Grangeville (south of sand point) and working in Cottonwood. There is a small brewery in Cottonwood but I haven't been there yet.

It doesn't look like I'm going to be that far south, but if something changes, I'll let you know.

Huh, didn't see this post. Guessing you got it from above but Grangeville, so just a bit north of McCall. I actually do some work on the little bit of public land we have down that way!

Took Ash to the river today. I have to leave for training for a week so I wanted to make our "last" day fun and burn some of his energy.

Also, since this is a build thread, I guess I should post things related to my build...huh?

BabyT is getting some love. In the next week I'll be ordering some expo leafs.

I found a local mechanic who will be working on the brakes and the front axle seals that are leaking...again.

Then I will order an ARE MX midrise topper. It will be carpeted, rear sliding window, windoors with vent slide, double lock and some other boring stuff. That will be about 3 weeks.

I am going to go into winter with the idea that I should have new tires but won't buy any until I know this place has a winter similar to Wyoming. But at some point I'll be ordering cooper st maxxs. Probably when discount tire has a good deal.

She should be road trip ready. Guess I should apply to get my passport renewed...

Love it! I have only seen them on 5 lug and it looked goofy. I thought my truck could pull it off though. Yours looks great.

Thanks, man. Your build has been an inspiration for mine.

It's a really great shell. I had a workmate on a ram 2500 years ago, and it was such a pain in the ass to get anything out of the bed without windoors.

The windoors make the shell and bed on my tacoma super easy to use- it really changed the whole feeling of the truck. Mine are vented, and it's like having a mini RV, haha.

I screwed 2 l tracks to the passenger side of the bed, and I can strap down all of my recovery gear and tools on that side in tool bags, with enough room on the driver side to put a couple of bins for camping gear. Those slide out easily, and it's wide enough for my
    Thermarest.

All that being said, I had twins in January, so I'll likely be selling my rig :(

It's not really a big difference in weight in the rear...

    Topper
Rear bumper and swingout at leverage point
    Platform
    Gas
    Water
    80lb dog
    Tools
    Etc
