The 83 Toyota leafs are offset six inches where the perch fastens so I will only have to move the leafs six inches to get it where I want the axles.

Ah that's a neat trick! so they aren't a centered arch so to speak. I was kinda wondering that in my head well shit that's a lot of added "frame" you gotta attach to it. You going to convert to propane anytime soon and do a multi case/atlas set up :boink:. You going with those missing link style shackles you were showing me when you do the stretch?

I converted it to mulitport fuel injection already so I will stay with that and I made the missing links I have on it and I will keep them. I have 6.5 to 1 transfer case and going 5.29 diffs for now.

Daily driving on 33s isn’t all that bad. I have a pretty long commute myself

Sucks, but you definitely got your money's worth/'insurance' out of your armor!

Again steel armor for the win (aww aluminum no BFH fixes!)

Similarly yes. My only beef with the mobtown's is they are a PITA to get that front clamp piece on and the 3/8 hardware. I'd like to see some 1/2" used along the frame, easy fix though, otherwise some great sliders.
I'm going to be making a couple of my skids out of aluminum skinned with UHMWPE. Similar with the ones that will be steel and bring the thickness down. Mine will also be tucked up a lot tighter than anything else so better support to resist the denting as bad.

Or like these...minus a plate for a bolt in the rear that is to be added at some point.

Those look nice Trey. I'm looking for some that have the angled piece that bolts to the bottom of the crossmember like yours. I think this will help alleviate some of the flex on a downward hit. How much you charge to make a set? lol

Would probably be best to just weld that piece you have that bolts to the crossmember to the slider plate and see if that helps

thanks dude. In fairness, I had to get a friend to bend the tube since I don’t have a bender yet. He also notched the braces that connect the main square to the main round tube. Everything else was done by me and everything was welded by me.

Picked up some Philips H9 bulbs to run in the low beams. Had to trim a tab in the connector and one on the circumference. I just couldn’t make them fit, without trimming the metal tab. Just installed them, so gotta wait til night to see how they do.
