problem with that is I wont be able to get the grill back on if I put it up any higher... theres the shafts with the clips on the ends that hold the grill on and the light bar is against the bottom of them as it is...

I bought the grillcraft... I cut part of them but didn't have to cut the whole things off... does your grill rattle without them? if my grill is still going to be secure without them, then ill have to give that a shot... how about the handle for the hood latch? did you trim that too? because my light bar is maybe a 1/4" from the handle (which I don't use with the grillcraft anyways)

oh didn't see this... so does your light bar go over the lever for the hood latch and not interfere?

Hey Jerry, not a big deal just trying to plan. Headed to Raucsh on July 24. Do you think my cb mount will be here in time ? I know you stated you were doing all the small items first. Don't want to be a pain in the ass, as I can't imagine all the bs that goes along with your work load. Thanks

They should be done and shipped before then they just need to be bent and welded up.

Here are the mounting points for the first gen (01-04):

The bottom screw has a rubber spacer that is flush with the edges of the bracket, but is too low for the lights (my lights at least). The top screw is perfectly placed but recessed into the bracket. The light bar cant sit flush with the top screws. Maybe Im missing something :notsure:.

it's the lower screws with the rubber bushings where they bolt too. What lights are you running?

Fucking Treklight spots from the GB. His webpage/business is gone so I cant link to any products.

I think I can make it work with the top screw, MTF.

I didn't even think you could get it any higher with the hood latch.

Shit you might be right. Im waiting for the paint to dry on the bar before I can measure again. I might have to modify the lights mounting hardware .
    Please, thanks.

Ahhh I see said the blind man! And again, no problem with the grill feeling like its not as secured or rattling? Also I think my light bar sits maybe a 1/2" to the passenger side making my lights look off.

Nevermind. I have the very bottoms of the sides of the light bar resting on the bottom bolts and that's where I bolted it in. I also drilled out the 3rd hole which secured it a lot better. Looks centered and is very strong. Thanks Jerry!
