How big is Eagle Lakes and how good is the wheeling there?

 

If Eagle is snow covered be careful not to slide into trees, we can't be have the trees damaged! Eagle is fun when there is snow. Also you can go into Peirce and that is alot of fun with snow.

But starting this year Eagle lakes after Fordyce turn will be close in the winter after Dec 1st. And the Indian springs needs 20 inches of snow for wheeled travel.

 

Eagle lakes was short but fun It freaked my girl out a little but I had fun.

 

Well there is quite a bit to explore that only Alvin and myself did... I could show everyone that part of the trail too. Great BBQ spots and camping by the river.

Also if by the time we left it was way to short, just 1 exit up is the signal peak trail which we could run to the top for a full day of wheelin'

I'd be happy to lead the trail for everyone if Barney Riley falls through.

And Jerry: im not trying to steal your trail run - just creating a good alternative if the road is closed

 

Dude no worries the road is closed there nothing we can do about it.

also there is Bear Valley up near Eagle Lakes. N39° 33.414 W120° 14.219

 

Im thinking i don't want to run eagle lakes this soon after we just ran it last month. But really im up for whatever.

Agreed there is Bear Valley it's kinda long and there is Corral Hollow but that one's kinda easy.

 

i was just looking at Strawberry.

 

The real Signal peak trail starts in the same spot as Eagles Lake.

 

I know.. its the back side and a little more difficult than the fire road from cisco grove exit. Just figured these guys wouldn't wanna go that way...

 

I don't mind difficult I just don't want body damage so anything needing sliders I'm not down for.

 

When is the decision going to be made on what trail we are going to be running?

 

I don't know what trail do you guys want to run?

We just did Eagle Lakes so it would be nice to do something different. We could explore beyond the trail there is a lot of other trails near Eagle Lakes.

 

Id be down for strawberry.

 

I say we hit bear valley its a 4 like barney riley and there is lots of little trails to hit off the beaten path.

i wish there was alot of trails and places to offroad down here in texas....

 

None of those dates work for me, how about we go next weekend
