God, I didn't think I would stir up such a shit storm. I simply pointed out an unsafe winching technique. and you all jump down my throat, with every excuse under the sun. Why be so bloody sensitive, just accept that it was dangerous and he was in the wrong.

    Josh,

Can you freeze things in your fridge? Or is it just a standard refrigerator? How well would it store meat? My girlfriend and I are going to be doing a westcoast overland trip for over 6months - 1 year and we are really debating on getting the arb to store small amounts of meat and basics like cheese and milk and eggs. We just got our grill today all sorted out and the guy recommended a hunting cooler that was $300.

    Absolutely!!

It can go down to -6 Fahrenheit and upwards you know to as warm as you want. It's a very intelligent fridge freezer and has all the latest technologies for overlanding, you can have it be mindful of your battery as in not suck it dry and cut off at a relatively high voltage or you can have it use all available power down to like 10 volts and so on. The canvas bag I have on it also helps insulate it and protect it from damage and another plus is has a very low amp draw compared to all other fridges. Do some research on Expedition portal and the ARB site to help you out, but as for me- I highly recommend it!!!

I got mine from Sierra Expeditions - will gave me a great deal on the whole package

I'm jealous of your proposed trip!! Ive always been curious though, how does one support them selves financially on long trips like that? Do you save up cash and then quit your job or something else?

Thanks for an awesome trip guys. For a first timer and stock rig I had a great time. Thanks for the pictures too. A lift is definitely in the very near future haha. Any recommendations would be great. Looking forward to more runs.
