The Barney Riley Trail run November 2010

Just thought I would let people know that we did get snow but its gone now. Saw a few people on other threads asking.

 

Yeah i figured it would be gone Saturday is still looking good and maybe we will have a little mud to play in on the trail

 

yes that is a valid point.
Do you know what the time period for all this is going to be? Like when are the bay area people leaving, and when should I expect to be back around?

 

Well we are all meeting at 8:00am at the Chevron 12205 Tributary Point Drive
Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 then convoying up the hill. We should be hitting the trail by 10:00 I don't know how long it's going to take to run the trail but it shouldn't take that long. After we BBQ and hang out for a bit we head out so i figured we would be in the Sacramento area by the mid to late afternoon.

 

So should I just plan on meeting you guys around 9:30 up in tahoe? My girlfriend is coming so we are probably going to fish in the morning. Is this a tacoma only thing?

 

Yeah that's sounds about right I'll PM you my number. No it's not so far we got FJ's, Runners Maybe a Scout.

So does everyone have CB's or are we planning on using FRS radios?

 

I don't have a CB.

 

Ill have my CB so pick a # and ill tune in.

 

I have a cb thats not tuned very well. lol and i also have a 2m/440cm in my truck if anybody is a HAM.

 

Neither do I so I am good with FRS.

 

That I do have but there cheap Bubba's from Cabela's so no privacy channels.

 

So is the consensus that we are going to run on FRS? I am just going to...mod...my radio to open up to those frequencies. lol

 

Yeah I guess That's all I have what channel do you guys want to be on.

 

Ive got a few ill bring. We have like 10 of them for our out of state hunting trips. Everyone carries 2 because they are so unpredictable. lol
