Hurculined the bed, needs another coat. Looks a lot better had to go through and clean up some surface rust, the black shows all the dents ahah

Figured out how to reuse factory fastener locations for the tailgate swing out, just need to purchase some bushings and find some time.

I know this post is old but don't let 120v get you down, I found that with my Lincoln 140 I can get really solid welds single pass on 3/16 and Uber solid double pass on 1/4 and it comes out smooth. If I use flux core I can almost get away with single pass 1/4"...

Yeah, recently welded 1/4 inch L brackets for a barn door with my Lincoln 140, pretty stoked how those turned out. I just like to play it safe, and know my limits.

The swing out will be interesting. It’s actually carrying a load, so I’m excited to see how well my design goes.

Are you doing a single shear or double shear mount? I'll be interested as well, rear bumper is my next project as well and I'll be needing a swing out cause my shock relocate takes up the under the bed space haha.

The whole set up will consist of 4 Double shear, taken some inspiration from Wilco Vt

Yup...before you know it the truck gets all kinds of crazy. I just ordered a winch and Tundra brakes for mine.

Shittybuilt X20 with synthetic rope. It should be here tomorrow. I'll probably get it mounted up sometime next year:drunk:
