Probably not. My buddy (who I run KPO with) works at a place with a laser cutter so we really only pay for material which is the expensive part. The laser runs off Nitrogen or Oxygen I believe which are both very cheap gasses.

    Development continues!!

We're getting ready to start testing a kit for 4th gen 4runners, FJ Cruisers, and GX470's! We have all the measurements and proper bolt sizes. Should get a test kit cut this week. Stay tuned!

Initial thoughts on this setup. I installed the bolts and cams in accordance with @ForestRunnerFrank99 then dropped my truck off at the alignment shop. They did not adjust the cams, only the toe-in/toe-out. I have had my truck up to a substantial speed that exceeded the posted speed limit on Arizona freeways and it held straight and true. I have a drive way with an incline and a small curb that can jostle you as I pull into it. I have noticed with the current setup it absorbs that bump very smoothly now. I attribute this the the current camber settings achieved with the octagon cams.
    In short, I like them!

Glad I procrastinated a day and got in after the price drop lol. I think the tw discount stayed at 5% though. These and new whitelines should fix up my frozen alignment sleeve issue. Pure luck that I ran across the thread when I did.

The code "TacomaWorld" is 5% off everything on the site. "TWAlignment" is 15% off the alignment kits only.

So if I buy one of these kits for my 1st gen taco can I just give it to the alignment guy and tell him to install these instead. My wheel alignment always is off by a hair and it drives me nuts

It really depends on your alignment guy. If he's a pretty good mechanic he can probably install it no problem.

Just installed mine. Thanks KPOffroad. It would be helpful to know you need a 1-1/8” socket to install these. (I assumed it was a 28mm but Advance didn’t stock any and 1-1/8 fit).

I've wanted to ask this question since this thread appeared...

I'm a bit clueless on the details of how alignment works, for the most part. I know what caster, camber, and toe-in are, and understand how they are obtained, but can someone explain why an octagonal cam would work better than a round one, which would seem to have more adjustability? Apparently, minute adjustments on the LCA cam bolts is not that important, and the cam not being able to move once set supersedes any need for minute adjustments...

You are correct in that an octagon will have a less adjustment points (a circle has infinite points) but what's great is the octagons lock in, so to speak. They won't twist around on you so you'll never need to get caster and camber adjusted again (provided your tabs don't bend).

Here is s picture of my truck after my cams rotated on a trail and the reason I developed this kit:
    VideoCapture_20220920-105559.jpg

As you can see my tires are pointed in at the bottom. The reason this happened was because the cam bolts were a little loose. After I installed the Octagon kit I never had this issue as the octagons won't rotate, even if the bolts loosen up.

So basically what you're saying is, between the front cam bolt and the rear, there's enough adjustability in the octagonal cams to dial in the proper camber & caster, which won't change due to the cams being locked in place once set...
