    I did not get any this year unfortunately.

    So I’ve decided to just drink what I have, which is 2012-16. I’m also moving and figured that’d be another good excuse.

    Also I plan on starting it over but with Beer I enjoy (like Norwhal by SN). Not a huge fan, I’m finding, of the holiday spiced ale.

    I'm sorta in the same boat. Not a fan of spiced ales and am mostly giving up cellaring beer.

    Went and celebrated my sister’s 29th birthday in Atlanta this past weekend.

    We started out at New Realm... https://newrealmbrewing.com/ in Old 4th Ward. They had a sweet balcony overlooking the Atl skyline. Upstairs was packed and they had nothing in the way of stouts or porters on tap, so I dinged them for that. (Just checked their website and apparently they had a stout and porter downstairs though). I had a couple of their IPAs - Hoplandia, Kikimora (double ipa), and Hoptropolis. Kikimora was good, the other two were pretty decent.

    Our second stop was the Wrecking Bar near Little 5 Points... http://www.wreckingbarbrewpub.com/ Place is AWESOME. It’s in the basement of this Victorian house, that was a church at one point in time also. Food was delicious and beer was great too. I had their Jemmy Stout and their Ole Sprinklerhead, a Cabaret-aged barley wine that was amazing!

    Third stop was a little hole in the wall bar called The Porter right down from Wrecking Bar... Their beer list is more of a novel - http://www.theporterbeerbar.com/drink/beer/ They have a vintage bottle list with beer going back to 2007. My sister’s boyfriend was footing the bill since I bought dinner, so I took it easy and just had an Evil Twin Even More JCs... But it was really hard not to jump on some of the bourbon barrel-aged vintage bottles! I could’ve easily spent a LOT of money here!!!

    Final stop was Front Page News for cheap liquor drinks and shots... Night got a little foggy here haha!!!

    Atlanta has got a pretty damn good beer scene popping up! I still need to make it down to Torched Hop and Monday Night’s Garage. It seems like there is a new brewery/tap house opening every few months. If y’all are ever in the area, give me a holler and I’ll point you in the right direction!
