    I'm jealous... you are always drinking Treehouse! You must live close by... Maine was awesome and I drank a lot of great beer. I wish I was really close like that to a bunch of great breweries.. Northern VA has some good ones like Aslin, Ocelot, Crooked Run and Vanish but nothing that compares to Treehouse, Trillium, Maine, Bissell, etc.. But alas, I'm back in the Middle East and my good beer drinking days are behind me until February..

    I like Collective Arts a lot... The bottle shop I frequent when home always has a decent selection from them. The dry hopped sour, Jam up the Mash, is my favorite from them that I have had and I also really like the Life in the Clouds, Ransack the Universe and IPA No 5.

    It was ok. It's 6 weeks old and I find Maines hops fall off really quick. It was gifted from a friend who visited the brewery a few weeks ago but we had trouble connecting so it got a little older than I wanted. Biggest complaint was a strong floral taste

    There's a bar/restaurant nearby that has Jam up the Mash on tap right now. I'll have to stop and try it.

    I'm not a huge sour fan but I find that one to be really good. Hence it being my favorite beer from them, but I haven't had a collective arts beer that I thought was bad.

    It appears a little lighter and redder in the photo than it actually is. Interestingly, the BJCP style guidelines for Doppelbock allow for quite a bit of latitude in the color (6.0-25.0 SRM), so one could be as light as a typical pale ale or as dark as a brown ale or anywhere in between and still be within the approved style guidelines.
