Thanks! No one in my little town has it, I have to drive 30 minutes to find a liquor store that might have it.

Yeah a side by side tasting would be awesome. Just one of those bombers and I'm good for the night! I'd need to find someone to share with, but then that stuff's so good that I wouldn't want too!

My usual stop. Had to pick up my 4 pack of Collabo Juice. Banana Muffin was really good.

I went to a barrel aged beer fest last weekend. I must admit I'm not a fan of the barrel aged stuff. Whisky barrel, cabernet barrel, just added a real "alien" taste to the brew. But out of the couple of fests I've done this year the barrel aged fest had the most wasted people I've seen. I was cautiously trying not to get spilled on and to stay away from the overly emotional crying chick in the corner. good times lol!

BA beers tend to be higher up in the ABV. I went to Modern Times carnival of caffeniation this year (focused on coffee stouts, and stouts in general). Holy shit did I get tanked. Don’t remember most of the beers I had but it was quite the festival.

I went to one of those as well before that was held at a local brewery. It was smaller and more controlled though, especially being in NM. It even had very limited entry. They had 8 different BA beers and they started you out with 4oz samples of 4 of them. Then about 1.5hours later they gave you 4oz samples of the other 4. Afterwards you got to pick a full 16oz glass of any of the 8. It kept people from being too wasted. I've been to the Colorado Brewers Rendezvous in Salida, CO a few times and that one always ends up with lots of wasted people. Me definitely included! It has a huge variety of beers from the hoppiest of hoppy DIPA's to BA stouts to sours and everything in between.

I went just for those 2 basically. Pumpkin was pretty astringent and spicy, not as much bready body. The banana one was pretty good though.

Luponic stuff is a great series. Really drinkable. Haven't had the newest couple though. Tried making my own and had mild success.
