I got a case of Second Fiddle on Saturday, but didn't make it to Waterbury in time for any Alchemist stuff. I just went to Pro Pig and drank Hill Farmstead and Lawson's.

Ya it was packed. I was there before 11 and was probably 75th in line. Second fiddle is tasting great. Did you head up to hill or just stay in waterbury? I know they were tapping some hill and a bunch of great stuff. I made fiddlehead 10 minutes before they sold out. What was on tap for lawsons stuff?

I just stayed in Waterbury. I haven't made the trip up to HF yet. I'll have to do that sometime in the next few months.

Sip of Sunshine was the only Lawson's on tap. For HF they had Edward, Works of Love #1, and Blaugies/HF La Vermontoise. I had an Edward which was a little off from normal, but still good. And tried the Works of Love, which is super light and like 3.5%.

Fiddlehead was doing a bar crawl in Waterbury and Stowe Saturday night with Second Fiddle at every place, but I got out of town before the parade started.

I had it on draft in San Diego a few years ago and I remember it being pretty good, but not much else about it. lol basically just remember it because of the name. It was a long night :anonymous:

Two years ago Lagunitas had a problem with their batch of Brown Shugga' and made one called Brown Shugga' Substitute.. It was good but literally tasted like chewing on a handful of hops. lol definitely an interesting beer. Never had the real Brown Shugga' though.

Hahaha yea we were at a pub in La Jolla and probably stayed a little past our welcome. Between four of us our tab was something ridiculous like $280 after a few hours. I'll have to talk to my local guy soon and see if I can find some of the Tricerahops. I'd like to try it again. I've heard the Abita Andygator is pretty good too

Oh nice. Didn't know that. I've been sticking to a lot of local brews around here and where my fiance lives in NC so I haven't explored what's out there recently lol I'll have to try and find some.

Yep, it's amazing! I just found a homebrew Tricerahops clone recipe that I'm wanting to try soon. At their tasting room in Eugene, they have a bunch of pilots that they don't bottle. Some great beers there too.

Would anyone be interested if I were to start a beer swap/trade thread? I know sometimes it's hard to get certain things in other areas and I've done a few with friends that were always fun.

Yea it was definitely a night to (not) remember..

I'd imagine it'd still be good, just a little more in your face. I was always told to go to BevMo when I lived in San Diego, but never made it. The Ralph's next to where I was living had a pretty good selection so I just went there.

Lot of good local brews around there.

Sure! Does anyone use beerexchange.io? Ive done several trades on beeradvocate but just started using that other one and really like the features of the new update.

Cool, I'm on my way to a family Christmas party, but maybe I'll try to get one set up later. I've never used beer exchange, but I know people who have done swaps through beeradvocate. Is beerexchange an app?

They call it a webapp whatever that means, seems like a normal website to me? You enter what beers you have available in your cellar for trade and then what beers you are searching for and it will provide you a list of other users that have matches on both your for trade and ISO beers.
